Hi guys,so jealous too see people are going through NVC stage! We've just received RFE,it says we need to submit court documents,my fiance has a criminal record, initially we wrote on a separate piece of paper the date and the charges he got!Did anybody here deal with this kind of question? Is it gonna be a problem to get court docs?

This is actually an easy fix.

Contact the Clerk of Courts at the respective court and request a Certified Judgement Entry for the case.  The fee is usually x amount per page.

Okay so I'm super confused now! I did the DS160 like everyone said I should (even the consulate page said so) and next step said to schedule my interview which I had to open an account on a immigrant visa web page. Next thing u know they are asking for the DS260 format!!! So whaaaat? 160? Or 260? If I'm right and I already did the DS160 where I schedule my appointment for Ciudad jaurez? Could someone rescue me and be kind enough to provide the link? Pleaseeeeee I'm losing  my mind here

Hi. Probably not really an update. But called the nvc again today. Twice. Same options. But still no case number. I'm rooting for tomorrow because that's what one of the CSR said. Lol

Anyway, I'm really hoping and praying for the ones who still hasn't had their NOA2 yet to get theirs very very soon. I know the pain of waiting. Once you have it, I'm sure, the best parts are coming :)

And congrats for everyone who's been approved, who's got their case #s, gotten their schedules, and visa approved! Big big cheers for you all. I can't wait for my turn lol *thumbs up*

I just received my case number from NVC and I was under the impression that my son should be assigned a case number also?

The lady at NVC kept asking for a separate USCIS receipt number which I don't have a now I'm freaking out that he's not included. Can anyone please shed some light on this ASAP for me?

I finally got news (The NOA1 Received date is 21st of April), but sadly it is a RFE. Does anyone know how long it takes approximately to process an RFE? I am waiting for the mail, is there a way to speed it up? (for example call and know from beforehand what they need)

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your help!

Can't speed it up. Once it updates online for the RFE it seems to arrive in the mail in about 4-5 days. It did take them 10 days (5 working) to mail the RFE after they flagged it for my account. Flagged 1st Sept, Mailed 11 Sept, Received 15 Sept for me.

Depends, I got mine in about 10 days .. some a few days sooner and some a few days longer. Good Luck with it, I hope it is an easy fix! If you got the notice from the app then it is in the mail to you, but if you called and got told about the RFE then just wait till you get electronic notice and then you will know it is in the mail ... or it may just show up one day unannounced ....  I wonder if their IT department is hiring :jest: Hang in there ... better days are coming!

You are actually the person I am following most closely. I am hopeful you will get your NOA2 this week. Only because it would mean I have a chance of getting NOA2 before October.

When you filed the i-129F all your had to do was include you son's name on your petition, as such, it is one petition and that petition will have only one USCIS receipt number and one USCIS receipt number gets you one NVC LND*** case number. This is why, when you asked for the second NVC number, the NVC person asked for another USCIS receipt number. I dont expect that your son will have a separate NVC number because you did not file a separate petition. You should search the forum archives for answers because I am speaking purely from a logical viewpoint. But im sure you can get further confirmation from previous posts.

Oh, Thank You ... I tell you what I am about fit to be tied here. I can't even get a response from my Senator who said they were going to send the inquiry for me, but I haven'y heard a thing from them in over a month. I am tempted to call UCSIS again today as it has been two days since the last call, but every time I  do, I just get mad, so I think I'll pass. They will get to it when they get to it I reckon. I just keep praying and keep hoping. I hope you will hear on yours soon too! it has been too long for all the April Filers and all those who are still waiting before us! Congrats to the new approvals and Good Luck to all of you still waiting!
