Sorry, I was trying to catch up on everything happening around here.

Also limiting my use of the phone because I still have a bit of a long day ahead :P

Everything went fine. Visa Approved. I'll write a review tomorrow maybe, but I have to say they know your case and what they are asking even if it seems routine for them. The interview was easy, but the CO did ask if Gary had been married before, what happened (seriously), if she was a US citizen (because she's not) and if she had ever lived in the US (no).

Congratulations dear! Finally this is it! You and Gary can finally be together sooonn. I'm am soooo happy for both of you. :jest::wub:

Thank You, She sent me the form ... Now that's the kind of service I expect. I mean instantly talked to me about the issue and sent the form over. It has been a month and a half since i sent the request to Senators Office and two emails since ignored ... I know who isn't getting my vote come election day and I'll be writing a letter to let them know it too ... not that it will get read but I'll feel better :jest:

Make sure to post an update afterwards. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I know it's probably my imagination but it seems the average rfe response is much shorter than what we've been waiting. Grrrrrr

I will do that ... I am right there with ya! Hang in there ... our day is coming soon ... I hope. I have nightmare about two months later still waiting  Gee whiz ... somebody get these guys some coffee please ... double espresso on the house .. let's go folks

If you look at the instructions what they want is either a Tax Return or IRS document if you are just using income. If you are also using assets beyond income to prove eligibility you would need additional documentation to prove.

Oh, Thank You ... I tell you what I am about fit to be tied here. I can't even get a response from my Senator who said they were going to send the inquiry for me, but I haven'y heard a thing from them in over a month. I am tempted to call UCSIS again today as it has been two days since the last call, but every time I  do, I just get mad, so I think I'll pass. They will get to it when they get to it I reckon. I just keep praying and keep hoping. I hope you will hear on yours soon too! it has been too long for all the April Filers and all those who are still waiting before us! Congrats to the new approvals and Good Luck to all of you still waiting!

We are right there with you.  A few days after you but in the same situation.  No response from my congressman, no answers from USCIS when I call and nothing from the CIS ombudsman.

In fairness I never heard back from my Senator because the person they assigned the job to quit shortly after it was assigned. I called them back after a month and got connected with another lady who looked into it and got back to me the next day. E-mail gets ignored, phone calls don't in my experience. Of course I contacted Sherod Brown who is up for reelection next year.

There is no one set of evidence that satisfies the proof. You can use a combination of various types of proof. Generally, however, you should be covered by getting the following:
tax transcript

recent pay stubs

letter from employer detailing position and salary

bank statements

Having all of those would be pretty solid if they prove that the threshold is met. Alternatively, having a combination of two or three of the above can also work. What is important is that it is shown that either your sponsor or co-sponsor have the required funds in income or assets. If the sponsor doesn't have income but has an amount in savings (only), be aware that those savings may need to be significantly higher than the threshold. I heard 3x being mentioned.

If you can get at least 3 (the last 3 years) that would be great. However, just last year's transcript is also fine.

YAY!! Keep me updated! If I hear anything soon, I will let you know. I honestly only reached out because of the slow down. I'm only 108 days in so there is no need to get worked up over waiting...but answers about the slow down would be nice.
