Just got off the phone with a 2nd tier representative, first he told me that my case was pending and said that you called 6 days ago. He suddenly said "Wait, I am looking on another screen and your case has been approved 2 days ago" while I was losing the hope that I would get further info on my case.

I almost cried at that moment when the 2nd tier representative told me that my case was approved. The endless wait on NOA2 is over.

I should receive the hard copy of NOA2 in a few days. It seems the tracker is really down again.

Many thanks to this post that provided me with a lot of useful info.

Received Date: 4/4

NOA1 Date: 4/7

NOA2 approved Date: 8/15

That's so good news :D

Congrats! :jest:

I called the USCIS today because I am very impatient and I am happy I did. They told me I was approved on Aug 14 and that the paperwork is on the way to the NVC. I did not receive any kind of notice yet nor was the website updated.

But its time to celebrate.

More good news! Awesome! :jest: (party time)

Also cool they said the case is on its way to NVC already... Being selfish here in that giving me hope for when we call :P

Wow so cool

Congrats.

So did your calling "6 days ago" make the difference then?

Thanks!I am not sure if 6 days ago made any difference but one thing for sure is that I got a very helpful officer。He looked on the 2nd screen that provided further info on my case。Hope you will get yours soon。

You know, you on this post have reminded me so much of myself, on being pessimistic and thinking our bad luck would keep putting sticks in our wheels.

I can't say these 3 years have been the easiest ones and it's amazing when we look back and see how much things have changed in our lives for the better. At some point, once we knew this was meant to be, even when people and cosmos seemed to be telling otherwise, we decided to do our best and work on it together for a better future. And maybe our better it's really good, because it worked.

I can relate to your words because, while sailing the long wait of this process, Gary and I used to talk about potential plans, what ifs and dates... And we were always back to the same damned words... "If we get lucky... But when have we got lucky?" Well, come to this point is obvious we got quite lucky, because we were ones of the firsts getting a NOA2 for our date...

I was so prepared to be left behind that it was indeed shocking, kind of surreal or like a dream... But no, it didn't happen, we weren't left behind.

I know it's easy to talk when you have your approval and are not the one still waiting. Not that easy because sometimes I even feel a bit guilty on the fact others with my date or before that are still waiting...

I guess my whole point is luck changes. Keep the hope.

And sorry for the long rambling or whatever this is :)

I feel like this too, and like my whole life right now is on HOLD.

My timeline seems to be moving back again and again, sooo close everyday and sooo far at the same time.

I know I shouldnt be putting all my hopes on the timeline records because is just an "estimate" but an estimate that is killing me for sure.

My received day is April 14th... should I be despairing more?

I am currently in the United States Marine Corps, have been for over 18 years and will be retiring in about a year and a half.

The government gives us a lot of extra money outside of our normal pay to help.  They give money for housing and a little for food.  If you live on the base then you dont pay for any utilities or the house, your housing money covers all that.

It is pretty nice in my opinion.

Starting out in the military gives pretty low pay....once you have been in a little while you make decent money.

Thanks a lot, i appreciate it.  It is a hard life but I'm proud to do it.  I'm a tattoo artist part time on the weekends and i will be doing that full time when i retire.  I need a relaxing and non-stress job haha.

That's the plus and minus of not being true military. I don't get the perks such a small tri care and housing help, but I'm free to work as many jobs outside of the military when I want. I'm technically not owned although I swear it doesn't feel that way lol.

I really wish that was the case. Unfortunately not. We even looked into the possibility of expediting our case since my fiancé could technically be deployed at any time. But it isn't available on that basis -_-

I tried to expedite because my position is sending me overseas, one state for prep first, and then overseas, and it still was denied. Even with proof and confirmation from what is considered my CO. Put in what amounted to 6 requests.

They flat out said no, they did not make an error.  The process to send out the RFE can take up to 15 days, therefore they just had not sent it out yet.

That's bullshit. Has it been 18 days yet? If so call and do it again. That's given them the 15 days to get it out and the three days for you to receive it. I hate that they try to cover their mistakes.

Very cool! And congrats!!  It's really hit or miss of who you get on the phone with Tier 2.  Mine spent more time trying to give me "processing time" than actually looking at my case.  So I quickly and politely thanked her and got off the phone.

This was my 4th time to call them. First time I was transferred to a 2nd tier office but he told me my case was still pending. They had not made a decision yet.

The 2nd and 3rd time they refused to transfer me. Today I called again and I was lucky that I was transferred to a very helpful male officer.

I saw your email to CSC. How long did it takes for them to respond? :) Thank you!
