I had originally planned on sending it through the military APO address to one of my buddies who worked at Camp Bondsteel but I found out 2 days ago that he had quit and moved to Chicago this past weekend. So USPS priority it is! I've had other packages delivered there without any issue. I'm sending my fiancee a new cellphone with US service so when she hits the POE she has telephone service immediately and can call me.

Excellent idea! A lot of people don't think of it. I'm planning on going over and claiming my bride but if not. I'll drive to LA and pick her up there. That would be a 3000 mile road trip lol

Is the general consensus that the I134 needs a "wet signature" and can't be a photocopy? I was wondering about this a few weeks ago and emailed the Jakarta embassy. They informed me a photocopy would suffice for that and also additional supporting docs. It would be awesome if I could email everything and have her print the stuff there but I might have to just mail it to he safe. It might be worth checking with your embassy just to make sure because if everything could be sent via email, it'd save a bunch of money.

A couple of days ago @Unshakable Faith shared the info from USCIS website where it said original wet signature was not required anymore since last December.

However, I read recently someone was put on AP because they did that and then the consule demanded originals. Crazy... Because OP had been in contact with them to make sure it was ok before the interview.

I don't know, they can be very inconsistent, so I'd rather have originals, yep

Yeah I won't chance it. Also I thought that link only talked about the I864. I don't recall seeing anything explicitly stating the I134 is ok as a photocopy though. Definitely better safe than sorry, even if it delays things a little bit.

Holy crapp, who are you using to send it? I'm curious what carrier is best for legal documents to the Philippines. I know Kosovo is a different animal but wow!

Matt said he is sending ours via FedEx. He said he don't wanna have to deal with the same problem we had with DHL when I sent him my documents last time for I129f what was supposed to be 3 business days has became 7 business days. Could have been next day delivery though a couple of hundred pesos cheaper with FedEx. I regret it. Our I129f could have been filed earlier if it hadn't been for the delay. And I also read in the Philippines forum not to send via USPS when sending to Philippines from US I just couldn't remember why.

Well today is day 140 since they received my application (March 30), and informed delivery says no mail today. And the USCIS status shows no change.

I can't imagine they're putting together an RFE since my application had to be 3" thick with tons of evidence.

BTW, I downloaded the USCIS app for Android, though I'm not sure it gives me much more information than the website status. Though it does give me a notice in the morning about status of some applications with similar numbers to mine. Not sure that means much...

I am surprised that active military members have to meet this requirement! I really wish that the U.S. Government would waive the majority of these requirements for those serving our country!
