Well that's how I know you didn't read it! Because some of it I wrote last night, and some of it specifically mentioned in there that I was quoting. Sometimes in order to explain something to someone and make them understand it, you need to use alot of words...plus now I already have my post ready for when it's time to prove everybody wrong when the doom does come and all is blamed on Trump, then all I have to do is link to that post

 

Anyhow, you can't blame a bubble that's already there and that was already named a bubble (by me and some others) long before Trump, on Trump...he just extended it. You are right about 2008 but again it was baked in the cake already before Trump. There was nothing sane about the bubble. Now, I also disagree it is completely Obama's fault that the recovery has been so weak like the right would claim. The economy isn't going to grow so fast for a long time anymore, it's just how it is.

i didn't read it, you got that right. bubble will definitely be much worse and difficult to recover from because of trump's deregulation crusade.

Here's where I have an issue with people claiming Obama saved the economy(well besides my already long explanation): I know for a fact that there are people, me included but not only so not trying to brag or anything, who knew the market was nearing a bottom in early 09 already...how did we know what Obama was going to do? I know for a fact that I'm going to know when the market nears a bottom in the coming crisis...it was also pretty obvious the market was near a bottom in 2003, how did we know what Bush was going to do? And if the crisis in 2000-2003 was Bush's fault, and if the crisis in 2008 was Bush's fault, then how come the recovery inbetween happened with him still in office? You see, it makes no sense to me that presidents have anything to do with any of that because my experience tells me they don't.

Now, it's going to be Trump's fault as well, because of his protectionist policies, and because he's shooting himself in the foot. Even before the elections, I wrote that the next president needs to just sit on their hands and let things crash to restore some sanity. Then, he would have been able to correctly share the blame with the previous president as it would have not been far away from the end of their(Obama's) term. However, not only has Trump encouraged an extension of the bubble since sitting in office, but he is even taking credit for it publicly, thus setting himself up for being blamed for everything to happen later on. Dumb move, but I know the truth and have shared it many times including this post which was after the elections:

What I offer you is invaluable, free of charge info that you would be wise to learn from but yet you refuse. I don't need to agree with history, it's already on my side. It's your version of history that's skewed.

So let me get this straight - first you quote only a tiny portion of what I said and call it nonsense, without addressing any of the explanations given, and then you say we're talking about different things. How are we talking about different things? Are we not talking about the power(or lack thereof) the president has over the markets and the economy? My view, which is based on centuries of data(FTR - it's not that I'm just against Obama, I don't believe Reagan had much to do with the 80's boom either) is that they don't have much, if any. Your view which you insist on calling "history" is kind of like looking at a round object that has heads and tails drawn on it and calling it a coin. Gotta look deeper than that my friend.

Hey spooks, I was waiting for you to show up  Smarts has nothing to do with it and like I said this isn't about me, it's about the fact that markets are actually very predictable if you only know where to look. When I say predictable I don't mean days or even months, but longer than that. 

 

Why am I posting here is irrelevant. What else do you think I would be better suited doing atm? I post here because when I am on my laptop I usually do one of three things: Post here or in other forums(all the other ones are not immigration forums but market forums), read the news, or work on stuff for either the shop or for trading. Oh and there's a little bit of FB and email somewhere in there too. When I'm at the shop in the mornings I usually have alot of time for VJ(notice I usually disappear in the afternoons), and when I'm home if I'm not doing anything with my wife(if she's painting or something) then the laptop is where I go. But like I said I'm not sure how that's even relevant. If you're implying I should be relaxing on an island somewhere that will come too, it's just not time for that yet. Unlike Trump, I didn't have millions to start with. The plan is to close the shop in Oct 2019 when our lease is up, retire the wife, and for me to work solely at that. I just didn't feel comfortable putting all my eggs in one basket just yet, but I think we'll have enough of a cushion by then. Hopefully that answers it!

I have looked back at some of your posts and determined that had I followed your advice, I would have missed out on some awesome upside market activity.  Not sure how history is on your side.
