I did everything on the same day, filled out the DS-160 then called knightsbridge and then finally booked my interview. I don't believe the status for the DS-160 means anything, i have never seen anybody mention it.

I NEED HELP!

my fiancé is doing the medical and DS-160 form and the embassy sent me an email with a link to pay online for the interview. The link is not working and I'm trying to figure out any other way I can pay for it before his interview.

Thank you in advance !

The DS-160 is simply the Fiancee "VISA" Application. It will not update anything on CEAC that I'm aware of. It can take some time to fill out and depending upon your internet connection it can be buggy so best to do it sooner than later.

Yeah sorry. I used to be able to double quote posters here but I can't seem to figure out how since they updated the system last year.

We have a March 23 receipt date no NOA2 received yet. Also, exhausted all resources including our congressman. We been getting the same response either being adjudicated or being processed since early July. Hope something comes soon.

Hang in there. (F)  I know how crappy this is.

It's just a matter of time.  I bet yours is right around the corner.  Mine was March 16th received and we *just* got the approved update on the tracker yesterday.

I called every congressperson I could and various other agencies and that did nothing.  I haven't even heard back from either of my senators and it's been 3 weeks since I sent in the forms (I did call to make sure they received them and they just still haven't even started on my case!!).

I had signed up for the USCIS account so they could notify me about everything, and I got a text message, so I can verify that it does work sometimes.  I still don't have the physical mail for it, though.

So, has everyone did the online ds 160 form? Because my fiance knows these people who are in Nigeria that said not to fill out the online form until contacted.  If you do then it will complicate things. But I feel like this is going to take longer because the only reason I have the IID # and case number is because I called. I explained everything about how if you don't do the form then you haven't applied for the Visa. But I know how lazily active they can be. I am confused and don't want to spend my $$ calling the embassy myself to find out long wait etc. I want this process to be as short as possible seeing that we have waited about 6 months already. What should I do??

To be safe, and also save you some time later, go ahead and fill in the DS-160, just don't click the "Sign and submit" button until things are ok with the Embassy. It won't complicate anything if you don't submit it.

As it says on the FAQ section for the form:

"You have 30 days to return to a partially completed application. To access your application after 30 days, you must save it to your computer hard drive or a disk".

What do you need in order to start tracking on CEAC?
