I am sorry . That totally sucks !! I saw your other posts about requesting a supervisor. I know this is probably the last thing you wanna hear  but, its very hard getting to speak to a supervisor. My cousin requested supervisor 4-5 times and didn't get a call back until her case was complete.  Hopefully that won't happen to you. Keep calling. If you are sure you did send them the police report which I am sure you have, they need to find that report !!

Scan Date 01/18

I know, but I have to get response whether they're really missing the certificate or the one I sent them is not valid. After speaking to 3 reps so far, no one was able to answer on that.

Anyhow, your case should be reviewed pretty soon if they went over mine yesterday.

So if you get a checklist after waiting 11 weeks , do you, in theory , get to wait another 11weeks? If so that seems unfreakingreasonable! waiting 22 weeks for something that has taken as little as 4weeks in previous months!!!!!

Every time you supply additional documentation, be it 1-page document or 30-page one your scan date resets and thus 11 weeks waiting. In case you think you're right and they're wrong, you can ask for supervisor's review after checklist request without providing the documentation. They'll review it within 6 weeks but in case you're wrong, you'll have to provide the documentation and then wait 11 weeks. Pretty much you can risk but potentially can end up waiting 6 + 11 weeks!

That's my current story and that's been confirmed today by NVC reps.

Well I messed UP and my package hasn't even arrived at the NVC. Sweds dont have a "birth certificate" they have a tax document that has all their personal info. There are multiple versions and I thought I had the right one......However..... I found out today I send the wrong one!!

I called the NVC and they said they did not get my package (of course, i just sent it yesterday). I asked about sending in the correct form and they said to do it asap with a cover sheet.

Have any of you send in a corrected document BEFORE getting a check list? Did it go ok ? I am fearful they will lose a few "loose" papers...

We actually had to do that. Jamaican birth certificates are longer than US standard paper. We sent the corrected copy within 2 days. It only pushed out scan date from December 9 ( both complete packets received )to December 13 (corrected copies of birth certificates received). They review all documents at one time. Nothing was lost.

Do you know anyone that has submitted the same document and had an approval ?? They probably overlooked and it is in your file. You would think these reps would have the information in front of them but, nop. Smh... I don't know what they are doing over there. Its hard to tell if they are going in any order at all. Lets see when I get a CC.

filed on Feb 27 with a Lawyer, Siskind, i thought that it was 4 weeks but now is 11!!! What happened?

Hello and Welcome to the club. Yes... the time frame has changed to 11 weeks now. It is so frustrating. We don't know what exactly happened but, NVC had some major delays since December ( holidays , snow days , and strikes? )

Current time frame looking at most of the timelines here is about 10-12 weeks. Hang in there.

My scan date is January 18th . Good Luck to all of us.

NVC is a black hole.  P.S. it's 11 weeks for just the review after you submit your AOS and IV documents.  There's another month or two following for the interview to be scheduled and completed.

Is it refundable ? Can it be changed ?

Lets see... Your 11 weeks will be on May 15. What I see around here is most of the time they schedule next month interviews up till the 15th of the month. If you do get a CC around that, you will most likely get a June interview or could be July too depending on the consulate availability off course. You probably can still make it. I would still try to see if the tickets can be refunded.

Stay positive though. You never know.
