@ngm011 I'm so sorry to hear that. When did you request police certificate? It wasn't expired when you sent it, right?

It wasn't expired. They just claim they didn't get it even though we are 100% sure we included it and it was together bar coded with the rest of the documents.

They still didn't open the office.

We sent everything in a single package, each document included bar code sheet so that they don't mess it up.

I expect they'll just claim they didn't get it and we should resend it. Then back to 11 wks waiting for after reaching 10th week already.

This is crazy that they can checklist anyone like this with already so sluggish processing times!

Oh no, am so sorry to know that.. perhaps, you may send another one, and request for senator's help, i heard they do really help

Just talked to NVC, they simply claim they don't have it even though rep on the phone has no documentation in front of her.

We all know what sending it over to them means - scan date i reset and waiting time is up to 11 weeks. She said there's no way around it, that's "State Department rules". Whatever that meant.

I asked whether we can submit that single page electronically, she said no.

I'll call again later to try to get another rep's response on the matter.

I have a question,  what are the 3 n/a that leads up to cc.

Hi SJ, logon to this website

https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

enter you case number, invoice number, choose if you are the applicant and then captcha

You'd see the enclosed screenshot, see the PAID inthe AOS? If that turned to be N/A it means 3 N/A's you'd call them and verify if you got CC

while there are instance (i saw from this thread, that when she called her case is complete, and yet not 3N/A yet)

Go to the following website: https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

You will need your case number and invoice number.  The three columns to pay attention to is "Affidavit of Support Fee", "Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence", and "Civil Documents".  The last two should say "N/A".  Once your case is complete, "Affidavit of Support Fee" will change from "PAID" to "N/A" giving you 3 N/As on the site.

For employment-based cases it will always show 2 N/As and the only way to find out if case is complete is by calling NVC (or waiting for an email from NVC).

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

God, that sounds horrifying.  I think I'm going to include two sets of all documents just in case so they have a reference.  Out of curiosity, did you put your name and case number on the upper right hand corner of all documents?  Seems like it was suggested in someone's guide so wondering if that would minimize my chances of this happening to me.

I hope you have better luck with the second rep, let us know how it goes!

Well I messed UP and my package hasn't even arrived at the NVC. Sweds dont have a "birth certificate" they have a tax document that has all their personal info. There are multiple versions and I thought I had the right one......However..... I found out today I send the wrong one!!

I called the NVC and they said they did not get my package (of course, i just sent it yesterday). I asked about sending in the correct form and they said to do it asap with a cover sheet.

Have any of you send in a corrected document BEFORE getting a check list? Did it go ok ? I am fearful they will lose a few "loose" papers...

Hi NGM,

I know exactly how you feel, the same thing happened to me in January, I don't even like to think that my husband could be here by now.  The way we dealt with it was I booked a flight to go visit him and that helped make the time go faster.  I know not everyone is in a position to go visit their spouse abroad, but I found it helpful.  I would also contact your Congressman to see if they can assist with the timeline.  You can let them know the timeline you've been provided by NVC and how long it is actually taking.

Agree with Andy & Mike.  Also, was it in another language other than English?

No I didn't put name and case number in the upper right hand corner because I didn't want them to consider documentation as "altered" and reject it. I just stapled bar code sheet on every document set.

Police certificate is was 2-page document (3-page with bar code sheet), first one is translation and second one is actual local police statement where on both pages my first and last name is loud and clear.

I don't know if it's smart to send to sets of everything, they might deem that as invalid, who knows.
