Hi @geowrian a question yet again - the dates in your sheet are the received date right? Not NOA1 date.

I also was wondering if even USCIS goes by received date. NOA1 might only be for keeping paper trails at uscis. How i say this because my NOA1 date is of a saturday, and uscis doesnt work on saturdays!! maybe that date is only to say when they sent out the NOA1 :)

09 Dec 2016 - i-129F Package Sent

17 Dec 2016 - NOA - 1

Best day ever!!! :D Though its still only 50% of touched cases getting approved, but the number of cases is great!

I guess they are picking up speed to meet their deadlines, and not paying too much attention to intricacies and hence so many RFEs...

possible Geo? :/

I concur. My money is still on them hiring new people in Dec/Jan, so they're still learning.

They are NOA1 Received Dates (not "Notice Date"s like on VJ).

I'm not sure exactly how USCIS follows the case numbers since they cover such a large spread of dates every day. Narrowing it down to precisely which one they use isn't really possible with the data available to the public.

Hello everyone! Yes, I am back for more questions haha. So, so far nothing with NOA2 and even though I expect to get it on the next weeks or at least next month (that last one would be crazy) I am starting to be realistic on not getting my visa before July (at least).
So my question here is..on June my fiance and I got invited to one of his friends wedding and I would love to attend plus by then it would be almost 4 months since we saw each other and I'm already dying to spend time with him without Skype in between. So, can I attend to the wedding aka travel to the states even if I'm undergoing on the K1 visa? There's no doubt I would come back to attend the interview and everything else plus I would not be purchasing the tickets until 2 months from now to make sure I'm not traveling when suddenly I have to attend medicals or interview itself.

Thank you!

There's still a very real possibility of getting your visa before July, so I wouldn't rule that out yet. But it is possible you won't, too.

Yes, it's possible to visit the US on a tourist visa while you have a pending K-1. However, just know that it is more difficult to do so. You have documented immigrant intent and would be entering the US on a non-immigrant visa. You need to show sufficient ties to return home to overcome that. Here's a good thread on the subject:

good to hear that they are working on your case. what do you think it is?

How we met - I figured they would recognize OKC, but assuming they hired/trained new people in Dec/Jan., then this was to be expected. I already have the information needed printed (with a cover letter and such) and ready to send once the RFE comes in. I tried to send it prior but they won't accept more documentation until the RFE is issued.

I see. Do you think they will accept it now that they issued RFE so you do not have to wait for the letter or do you have to attach the letter with it? :) Almost there. :)

Thanks for the chat,. :)

On the plus side, my fiancee will still be coming at the same time...we planned to spend some time in PH first, so this only shifts those dates, but not the pseudo-planned dates for her to be in the US.
