Hang in there! We are in Argentina too and just got our visa approved yesterday. Your approval has to be just around the corner, then it is only 3 months from there and you get your visa! NVC goes very quickly for Argentina. ¡Éxitos!

Congrats

Hi, we had filed in Feb 2017, with the NOA1 date as 20th Feb 2017 and priority date as 21st Feb, 2017 at the Nebraska Service Center. My wife is a USC and I am currently waiting in India.

Any idea, where we are with the Nebraska Service Center timelines. The official website doesn't seem to be updated and real life examples would help :)

Waiting.... Waiting.... Waiting.. It's so hard to stay away from your loved one. :(

Well it's very strange, some already got it before. Check below link. Not sure. Looks like same NSC processing center.

Once in a while, some people will get lucky and have their cases approved very quickly.

That seems to be more the exception than the norm, particularly for the Nebraska Service Center.

Hi folks, what are your thoughts on VJ estimated processing times on the profile timeline page? Anyone found it to be accurate?

For me it wasn't. I waited well over 8 months.

I had to stop looking into it because it was causing way too much anxiety. The official processing timeline from USCIS was  a lot more accurate in my case.

I can't talk for other cases though. I know that many people around here got done in less than 6 months, but I also talked to people who waited more than I did.

So overall I think it's safe to say that people should try to not think about it too much. The wait is different for everybody.

I thought this too but, too late now. I hear once it's forwarded to NVC it goes pretty fast from there. I sure hope so.

I hope so , Especially if you have option of E-mail processing then its preety fast,

but for Mail processing it can take from 1-3 months, + document travel times, then interview date usually take 1-2 months .

I got a looooong way to go lol

The reason it's too late is not necessarily because it has been forwarded to NVC but rather because I am now married.

If you are married, then you cannot file for a K1 or fiancée visa.

Yes, I understand. I am married too. If I had known this process would take longer I most likely would have filed K1 as well.

Well, according to VJer's timelines, it seems NSC is currently processing Oct 23, 2016.

Our case took a little over 6 months while others whom are lucky and got their case approved earlier.

Once it's approved and sent to NVC, the process is alot quicker.

While you wait, perhaps start gathering all the required documents for the NVC stage.

Yes, it's hard to be away from your other half, but it'll be all worth it in the end :) Stay positive, Good luck!
