Just saw the fee is more. Grrr. So, should I call their customer service number? Where do I send the excess? Will they reject it wholesale? Mildly freaking out.

So sorry, I would call and get direction. I have read on this site of others sending the wrong amount and their packet being sent back. Of course these were closer to the date change. Good luck

We almost missed it, too - it was only through luck that I caught the increase in time to get the correct fee sent off. They will reject your case now, due to the incorrect fee. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As far as I'm aware, you can't send an additional check - you will have to resubmit your packet with a new check for the correct amount, once you get the rejection. I'm sorry, I know this kind of delay must be so disappointing when the process is so damn long anyway :(

01/18/17 - I-129F mailed to Lewisville, TX

01/25/17 - NOA1

05/26/17 - Case left NVC, status 'In Transit'

05/30/17 - Medical

05/31/17 - Consulate received

07/13/17 - Interview, APPROVED!

07/21/17 - Visa in hand

07/22/17 - POE Newark, successful

08/02/17 - Married

08/23/17 - AOS filed (incl. EAD and AP)

08/31/17 - NOA1 date on AOS packet

I almost made the same error as well, good thing I continued to research and go over my packet.  I agree with your feedback Nat023 ?

It's probably sitting in a pile with other petitions that have an incorrect fee.  Over on the November Filers thread, there is a member who runs a nightly scan showing the case status of 5,000 k1 petitions.  The "case was rejected because I submitted an incorrect fee" seem to come in bunches, so I think they are put in the same box and then one caseworker goes through and files them all at the same time.  You'll get your petition back and you can send it in again with the correct amount.

Hi everyone,

I finally found the January filers thread! Reading through all the comments has eased my anxiety a little. I sent in my I-129F to the Lewisville lockbox on 1/23 and it was delivered on 1/27. No email, no text, and the check still hasn't been cashed -_- normally I'm an extremely patient person... but the past week has been brutal.

Good Luck y'all!

You may wait until u rcvd back the packet u sent. Once rcvd, re-organize them again as how it was the first time, include the correct fee and place the green paper they sent along with your packet.

We had the same case for rejection, though we wasted a month bcoz of it but now we got NOA1 after re-sending the packet.

I've been in a constant slight state of panic since realizing that there's a very high chance we get an RFE. We use GroupMe mostly to communicate and use different names on it and didn't even think of this when taking screenshots as proof. We both use the same fake last name and fake first names, which is going to look weird to whoever is going through our petition. Ughghg. Fiance keeps telling me not to worry and that it won't be the end of the world, but I really wanted to help this all go as smoothly as possible, yet we managed to overlook this important detail. At least this is the most of our worries right now!

Did you send other forms of proof? I could see how this would concern you ?. I'm not familiar with that site, is there anything on the very top of the screenshots/thread that signifies any factual information?
