Hi,

Can you tell me where to go (website link) to find out if my case is "ready"?? I have been unable to confirm.

Thank you. I found it and it says "No Status".   File created 6/19/17.  I'm sure it varies per country but how long does it take to change to "ready" and what must one do?  We've already completed the DS160, have a medical appt, and was told to call back for an interview appointment because the August schedule wasn't available yet.  Is there anything else? Am I missing any steps?

thanks again.

Now I wish I could give you a hug or meet you once we're in the US even though we will be in different states! Thank you for your kind words. You and @PR&PR really put a smile in my face.

I tried to forgive my mom but she is the most selfish person in the world. Don't want to tell my story here but at least she will be at my wedding and act like a mom for one day, not like my dad who is just ignoring the fact that I am getting married like the rest of his side of the family and won't take me to the altar. The best F*** you I can give them is to let them see how happy I will be with my new family and with all the love they have for me and I have for them.

I wish you all the best luck for the rest of the journey but I am sure we will keep each other posted :) lots of love to you.

Btw is you name really Hazel? I am 21 and way too young to have kids now but Michael and I talked about this subject one day and we want to name our daughter Hazel in 5 or 10 or 15 years when we have one haha no kidding.

Awww, you're so sweet! Would be lovely to meet someday. After all, we share the same NOA2 date. Haha!

I feel you so much. My dad died when I was 7 so there won't be any daddy arms to hang on to while he walks me to my groom. :/ My stepdad never tried to treat us like his own, so you and I aren't too different. We're lucky we found ourselves the man of our dreams, though! :)

And yes, my name is Hazel. I quite like this name. Pretty unique. And how funny, I keep telling my fiance I would want our little girl to be named Helena or Hannah. :P

Update to my earlier post my medical went well I got to spend time with my mom as she came with me. Driving to Toronto is no easy task thank goodness we left at 9am (appointment was at 2:45pm) we got stuck in a crawl just outside Toronto for 45 mins but we got there with an hour and a half to spare to grab something to eat. All in all it took about 1-1.5 hours for the medical, mostly waiting for the people ahead of me. Dr Lyndon mascarenhas was very kind and very attentive. He only asked a few basic questions and sent me on my way to the basement for my X-ray and then to life labs down the street to have my blood taken. Very great experience for a total 12 hour day between the drive and the appointment.

Lately most people are not getting their case number for 20+ days.  Some closer to a month.  Luckily I got mine in only 12 days.

Hi there. How are you? Are they assigning the interview date or are we allowed to choose (based on what's available?)

I have all the necessary shots the t/dap,mmr I didn't need varicella because I had chicken pox when I was 3 and my doctor signed off on it also I didn't need the flu shot because it's only needed between nov-march. I had my vacs record with me so all my other shots are recorded

I would think so but they aren't mentioned for our age group. I went to the health clinic and had my full record printed and gave that to them at the medical

I'd maybe ask your doctor about receiving them

I kind of don't want the vaccine if I don'T need it haha. That is my struggle, but if they let you out I probably can go get the shot at a drugstore instead of the clinic -_- . And if I need to pay the big price there ...I will, at this point it is not a couple hundred that will make the difference :P

You can go to the appointment website and once you see a date available just click on it.  If the embassy gets your case soon you might be able to get an interview in July.  Right now they have July 26, and 31 available.

No problem.  You do know that only the beneficiary is allowed in the embassy for the interview right?

No I didn't because in past they were allowed in the waiting area but you the beneficiary were the only one they would interview.

Well maybe they still allow them in the waiting area. I don't know about that but yes only you would be doing the interview. In the packet 3 it says only if have some type of disability and need someone to assist you then you can bring someone with you to the embassy.
