Well that's good that it's only 30% left of January.  However, it  sucks that I'm one of them! ^_^  I would definitely rather see an RFE instead of my case remaining untouched.

Me too on RFE. At least I would know that they have not lost the case package. :)

Your NOA1 is Feb 15th, you definitely will drive yourself crazy checking every 5 seconds because you have about 3 weeks left before you'll probably get touched.  So, cool off and just check once a day, at a time before bed.  Otherwise you'll go insane checking so much so early in your process still.

Just can tell you are really excited but your expectations are too high and you'll set yourself up for a very miserable next couple of weeks.

Yeah I definitely agree. Just was curious if anyone from Jan started consistently hearing back. Thanks for the reassurance 😅

I'm hopeful that those 30% untouched are the approvals that haven't been seen :) I'm also one of them... fingers crossed that it is not RFE. I'm praying for an approval soon!

If you take a look at the data I posted last night, focus on the chart for touched versus untouched cases. It looks like (to me) they are consistent with the number of cases that are touched daily. It's true that the number of approvals dropped to nothing for a few days, however, the pattern I think I see is them trying to touch every case. Only 30% of January cases remain untouched. This means we should see the untouched cases shrinking, resulting in us seeing an RFE or approved, soon. Once again this is all based upon an assumption that they are trying to get every case into an untouched state state as quickly as possible.

With good data each day, I hope that we can start seeing the patterns and have a better view of what's going on over there. We can only guess at the end of the day, I think.

What I don't understand is why there are certain people (in December for example) who seem to have just been skipped.

Another thing I don't understand is the amount of February apps that have been touched when there are still so many January files left. We are at 117 days and they are not even in the 80s!

Yes. You know my gold standard processing model right?

Anyway, assuming they do have unorganized stacks of petitions on their desk, even without my model, haha, seems like it wouldn't be too hard to look at the date on the case and skip it if it's February. Maybe they have no idea how many January and February cases there are? It's certainly a mystery.

I've been obsessed looking at the data and it seems like they are doing it backwards..just like if all the newer ones were sitting on the top of the box and they are just going off the top.

In all reality its all speculation,  let's just hope for a better day and a overall week.

The two cases before mine have been approved.  And the case after mine was approved.  What about me?!  I wanna be touched too. :(

I know how that feels. When I was waiting for my NOA2 the 20 above mine were touched and 30 below mine were touched.  I was literally suck in the middle all by my lonesome :(

I know that feeling!

Well its like one of those things....even though they are working on Jan cases there is no guarantee I mean really us as individuals are powerless they could just as easily not touch my case or your case for another month or 2....  not to be a downer I'm just saying what it looks like they could legally get away with

As with anything in life fight for what you want every way that you can

Hey its been a few days. Just wondering if they accepted your expedite request?

I just tried to call USCIS. I don't understand. They said they're still working on november cases as of April 17th, 2017. How are people receiving approvals and RFEs from january if they're still on november?... This wait for for the NOA2 is so stressful.

They told me to call back if i don't hear anything from them in 2 months since they are technically working on november.

It's the standard response.

All it means is that there are still open cases from November.  Which is true.  OPEN, could mean something as simple as waiting for an RFE response to come back in.
