gosh...we agree...I'm a little scared and a little excited

Don't let your heart be troubled dear.  I sell excitement. Making people follow me and agree with me is, why I might be one of the best salespeople that ever lived.

Its like a gift.. I cant control it

The ol great Wall of China hail Mary.   That is just as lame as bush sucked too or it wasn't on CNN so it doesn't count

A wall was stupid during the campaign and remains stupid if the Moron-Elect God/King pursues it.

So yeah, it counts.

I don't think a metal detector in a store is a fair comparison. A store doesn't have 2,000 miles of metal detectors to manage. A metal detector doesn't stop anyone from leaving. It just alerts people. It's a horrible comparison actually.

Is it just going to be a wall? If so, climb over it. Barb wire? Cut it.

It will need constant monitoring. How do you propose that? Patrols? That's a lot of manpower for 2,000 miles. CCTV? Again, imagine that over 2,000 miles.

If we can get other people to pay for it, I guess we can give it a shot. Just don't want to see too much money wasted on a fool's errand.

As for the color - why not make it optically clear? So you see through it. That way people would just run like they are normally trying to cross the border and then boom. They run into an invisible wall. We're already talking about a 2,000 mile wall which is a little crazy, why not add invisibility?

I don't want to get into the political side of the discussion about the Israeli west bank barrier but I hear it get brought up from time to time in comparison to the wall, mainly of course by those who support the wall, and I think it is somewhat justified. So monitoring in this day and age should not be too difficult even over 2000 miles...there are electronic sensors(as soon as someone touches the fence it alerts them), means of observation like cameras, and even remotely activated weapons. While it is only one quarter in length of the proposed wall, it has worked pretty well. Even though what most people see is the "wall" part of it, about 90-95% of it is a "multi-layered fence system" something Trump actually doesn't seem opposed to. In some areas there are three fences, pyramid shaped stacks of barbed wire on the two outer fences, a lighter weight fence with intrusion detection equipment in the middle, an anti vehicle ditch, patrol roads on both sides, and a smooth strip of sand for "intrusion tracking". There are ways to do this, the cost? That's a different issue, I guess it depends on whether or not you can get Mexico to pay for it.

Interesting. I didn't know Israel had a "real world example".

I'm not opposed to a wall flat out, I just am not convinced it will be worth the money for building and upkeep and I've never believed Mexico would pay for it. We shall see.

Are you willing to support massive increases in funding for immigration courts to process those crossing illegally, so that their punishment is construction of the wall?
