Thanks. Problem is they don't have a US drivers license yet. Seems like you need a SS card to apply for a license in the states.....so insurance for a car wouldn't work yet.

People actually print out facebook conversations and send it in to immigration?

You have auto insurance, and you need to report your new status when married,.. they will then add your wife as a NON DRIVER, Progressive Insurance did this to me when I changed my name and updated my info with Progressive Insurance, they added my husband as a NON DRIVER Just because I'm as the policy holder is married.

Thank you! Is there any outright reason they can deny a I-485 form?

How did your fiance' enter the US? K1 visa?

actually you can add someone to the title of your house fairly easily (at least in Ohio) and they do not have to be on the mortagge to do so, the get an ownership interest but not the financial responsibility to pay the mortgage

Thanks. You can do joint tax returns if one doesn't have a social security number yet?

The person must either have a SS number or an ITIN which is filed for with the IRS. Here is a link: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/general-itin-information

Also....I filed a Quit Claim to add my hubby to my house. I sent many photos and chats as well a tax transcripts and all the other info people have mentioned.

Yes you can and you should. Actually you will have to for this tax year since you will married as of end of the year. You will just need to fill out a IRS Form W-7 to get an individual taxpayer identification number (ITIN) and attach it to the tax return (no e-file this year).

I had to do the same for last tax year (2015) as me and my wife were married on December 28, 2015. I did married filed jointly.

Hi,

do people recommend sending in photos for an I-130/I-485 adjustment of status to prove a "bona fide " marriage?

I read different things....some say to wait to the interview. Some say to send in photos.

Any suggestions?

definitely send some with your i130 portion
