K1 - Married less then a week abandoned marriage

We don't really know this woman's situation, and it's not at all uncommon for an individual's FB profile/postings not to match reality. She may well be a scammer, or a user. But I did want to comment that demanding/pressuring someone who is not interested for sex IS abusive, if that is in fact what occurred. Marriage does not equal consent, having consented in the past does not equal consent at any given moment. While there are a lot of strange things about her story, I would be hesitant to assume that means her husband is a saint.

I remember reading recently a post from a man in the Northeast who applied for a young lady from DR (K1 visa) .. married her here.. and then suddenly she was miserable. The OP said she was a shop-aholic, wouldn't work (although she supposedly worked 80 hrs/week in the DR), complained about the food, and ran off to NY to live with family.

My instincts are strongly saying these are the same women (although Texas wasn't involved in the original post from the guy ... Vermont I think).

My instincts often tell me when someone starts a conversation .. "My friend has a problem..." mm hmm "a friend" or YOU?

So if I listen to what the small voice in the back of my mind is saying... the Vermont guy's DR wife is now using VJ to find out her options.

(hey don't blame me .. everyone loves a good conspiracy story)

U said it right!! I heard it so many times, " my friend...has a problem" and 1001 times its not the friend, its the person him/herself. If her friend can be on fb than how come she cannot register here on vj? even if she speaks little englishor may be native language then google translate does wonders. You can translate anything. I have read vj's trying to help and understand people with such broken english. she is not talking about her friend....She is her!! that's it! People on vj help each other with genuine concern and this person, in name of her friend, getting ideas!

She doesn't have to leave her friend....its her :)

btw, I was born in night  but that was not last night  give me a break :content:

LMAO - best reply ever! Jon&Margz - I was thinking the same thing when I read through pages 1 & 2. I think you might have spooked her and may not return at all.

The OP's fear of letting her stay in their home is justified. She will look for every opportunity to destroy someone's life if it means she can benefit from that. Sounds like her husband and she were engaged in a case of "green card prostitution" gone wrong. What she did was criminal and if he pressured her into sex then they are both criminals. If I were OP I'd block her from all social media and protect myself from this toxic criminal.

I disagree with you. My husband English sucks so I'm the one that talks in vj. My in laws all have fb and speak no English they talk in Spanish on their Fb so her friend can clearly have a fb but only speaks in her language. Why can't this really be her friend?? How many people have asked for advice about a friend and nobody ever questions it

I love my husband ?‍?‍?

Married June 2016

Por siempre y para siempre Mi amor
