I thought Obamacare made the people who didn't want health insurance buy it so they would be paying into the system they would inevitably use anyway. Rather than having no insurance, using the emergency room for care and then not paying the bill. Aren't those the real lazy bums? How did people who didn't want insurance in the past pay for their astronomical medical bills when they sought treatment?

O'care is a mess, I'll agree on that. However elimination of it will not solve the problem. A single payer system solves the problem, but I highly doubt that will ever happen. I was once one of those uninsured individuals, not because of laziness or because I didn't want it - but because I simply couldn't afford it.

I am now compelled to buy health insurance, not because of laziness or because I still don't want it - but I still cannot afford it. However, no one is truly forced to buy health insurance. They can pay the penalty if they truly do not want insurance and don't feel they need it. It is very much cheaper for them to do so, even.

Sounds like some countries that control the number of children born or offer forced abortions and sterlizations is the place for you eh?

Personally, I'd like my government out of my bedroom and also not controlling how many children I decide to pop out. I can agree there is welfare abuse, and yes there are persons who have appalling sex lives and make bad decisions. Corporate welfare is also king. And in that Trump knows all about appalling sex lives, bad decision making, not having vasectomies, and corporate welfare.

Before Obama ever came into the picture health insurance was sky rocketing. I am self employed and had to dish out

$450 from my meager income barely over poverty lines.

Every year the premium increased.

Then I was on Obamacare for $99 a month. I was able to afford to see a doctor.

It worked great for me.

It worked for millions of sick and poor people you call lazy bums.

It worked for young people not stable in their jobs yet.

It worked for people with pre existent conditions such as cancer and heart conditions.

There need to be improvements made with reigning in the big insurance companies but the free market theory Trump wants has not

worked before Obama and will never work. Greed of the insurance companies will only get worse.

We need a cap on premiums and co payments.

I liked Bernie's one payer plan.

Hillary's policy is to build on what Obama has accomplished so far but Trump wants to appeal it.

As for being uneducated, you wish you had as many years of post secondary schooling as I have had.

I also have some real world experience related to the poor and welfare. I was born and raised in eastern Europe in the late 70's and early 80's. Everybody had housing and everybody had food, from the government, you got food coupons, whether you were rich or poor, everybody got their share. But if you were able bodied, you had to work, there was no such thing as unemployed. There was no freeloading, no one group working while the other mooched off their sweat. I'm not advocating communism or socialism (well, maybe a little), but it wasn't as bad as the great US democracy (we are slowly losing our "rights" by the way) would like everybody to believe.

Corporate welfare... you mean corporate taxes? They are taking advantage of the system (capitalism, and our generous tax code). And that's exactly what Trump has been doing. Has Trump done anything illegal with his taxes? Every person with a high income and net worth and a good accountant is doing the same. If you don't like it, stop bitching, and change the tax code. But they won't because all their cronies and biggest donors are doing the exact same thing.
