By the way: as for being 'forced' to buy something you don't like... it's pretty much a given that in owning a home you need insurance. And you cannot drive a car unless you are insured. So there are always insurances that are 'forced' upon the populace.

You never have to buy home insurance since only you (and your property) are affected. The exception being when you finance a house, because the bank stands to lose money so they do force you to buy home insurance. Once paid off, you don't have to buy home insurance. With a car insurance, you only have to buy liability insurance to pay others for damage YOU cause them. Otherwise, those that you hurt would never see money since most Americans don't have any money and are only floating on credit.

With health insurance, you are not hurting others, only yourself if you get sick and can't see a doctor, so why should somebody be forced to buy in. The reason they want you to buy in is not to pay for YOUR healthcare costs, but to subsidize part of the costs of freeloaders. Why should not be allowed to gamble on their own health in our free country?

Is it okay for a hospital to refuse treatment and let them die? Or does the hospital have to provide this life saving treatment knowing that they will never get paid for it?

The one who refuses to pay into the health care system and quotes his right to be free will be the first one to want to sue the hospitals

for just stabilizing him in the ER without further quality treatment.
