Are you naïve enough to believe that this is a democracy? I guess it's true, you do have a choice, pay for Obamacare or pay a fine.

Did you know that your vote for president doesn't actually elect him? Some democracy.

As for being uneducated, you wish you had as many years of post secondary schooling as I have had.

I also have some real world experience related to the poor and welfare. I was born and raised in eastern Europe in the late 70's and early 80's. Everybody had housing and everybody had food, from the government, you got food coupons, whether you were rich or poor, everybody got their share. But if you were able bodied, you had to work, there was no such thing as unemployed. There was no freeloading, no one group working while the other mooched off their sweat. I'm not advocating communism or socialism (well, maybe a little), but it wasn't as bad as the great US democracy (we are slowly losing our "rights" by the way) would like everybody to believe.

Corporate welfare... you mean corporate taxes? They are taking advantage of the system (capitalism, and our generous tax code). And that's exactly what Trump has been doing. Has Trump done anything illegal with his taxes? Every person with a high income and net worth and a good accountant is doing the same. If you don't like it, stop bitching, and change the tax code. But they won't because all their cronies and biggest donors are doing the exact same thing.

I am, with my vote.

Turns Out Donald Trump Once Fired A Woman For Using ‘Locker Room Talk’

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-once-fired-a-woman-for-using-locker-room-talk_us_57fce5f3e4b0b6a4303569fa?

Oh, how the hypocritical tables have turned.

Just days after Donald Trump brushed off his 2005 brag about sexually assaulting women as nothing more than “locker room talk,” a 2010 episode of “Celebrity Apprentice” has resurfaced in which the Republican nominee fires a female contestant for exactly that.

The clip, which was tweeted out Monday from “The Daily Show” account, showsTrump dismissing professional wrestler Maria Kanellis after she said “#######” in his boardroom, a word much less obscene than the phrase “grab her by the VVVVV”

The reason why I said you were so arrogant was because you came in our dressing room and you took a c&&p and left the stench in the room,” Kanellis says in the video, referencing an incident with her fellow contestant, chef Curtis Stone.

The reality TV host then comes to the defense of Stone, the man who allegedly entered the women’s dressing room uninvited, and criticized the wrestler for her language. Trump called Kanellis’ story “a little below the belt” and said her comments were “sort of gross” and “disgusting,” before delivering the final blow.

“This is my boardroom, it’s not a locker room,” Trump said. “Maria, you’re fired.”

Last week, the Washington Post published a 2005 audio recording in which Trump made lewd, degrading comments about women with then-“Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush. In the clip, Trump suggested grabbing women “by the vvvvv” and said he had forcibly kissed women without consent. The 70-year-old issued a non-apology for the disgusting comments during Sunday’s debate.

“This was locker room talk,” Trump said. “I am not proud of it. I apologized to my family and the American people. I am not proud of it. This is locker room talk.”

So, does Donald Trump believe he is above the standards by which he judges people below him? It would appear so.

Actually, the health care system in the US is hardly a "free market." It's actually a lot closer to the mafia.

Powerful, monopolistic pharma companies and hospitals negotiate the prices behind closed doors with their buddies the private insurance companies, where there is pretty much zero pricing transparency for the average consumer, who are forced to pay whatever price those guys determine is "fair" at the expense of their either dying or remaining ill/getting ill by avoiding the service they offer. The threat of "Hey, if you don't buy our product, you'll be sorry!" is basically what they hang over your head, with a bunch of smoke and mirror pricing with the help of insurance companies, to get you to pay whatever they say you must pay.

Free markets have competition and the pricing is actually regulated by supply and demand. That's not what's going on at all in America's health care system. In Russia, private doctors compete on the free market and you can get an MRI (without insurance) at the top private clinic here for $50.00...oh, and it'll be done in about one hour. With hardly any waiting. And diagnosis of any illness included in the price of the scan. In the US......yeah, don't even want to know how much that would cost without insurance.

While the US does excel at super specialized doctors who can cure obscure illnesses that in most countries would be untreatable, for the average person with a common health problem, the current system is kind of an extortionist nightmare.

The US is the best at blowing bubbles. Balloons and bubbles. Everywhere. You name it; Real estate, College tuition, Stock Market, Bond market, Health care and I could go on and on. All via failed, poorly thought out and short sighted policies.

I'm not surprised that you'd say such a thing, based on some of your other posts. But let me help you out with a few links. And bear in mind, these are just the ones that have actually posted. There are thousands more like them who don't publicize their welfare state of mind.

Yeah. Keep thinking that everyone on welfare are working because it's the right thing to do.

it's only in your mind that there are swarms of women who are popping out babies for the sole purpose of more welfare money. i know it was planted in your mind, but still, take some personal responsibility here.

There is no way to "save money" off the woman in the first video.

1. Put her children into foster care - Public pays.

2. Cut her welfare, the kids starve, steal to survive - Public pays.

3. Force her to work, someone has to take care of the kids while she's at work - Public pays.

4. Force her to work, no one takes care of the kids while she's at work and half of them turn to crime - Public pays.

Lesson: Perhaps public money would best be spent on family planning, condoms and sex ed.

And don't have 15 kids.

we aren't meant to understand how it works, primarily because it works against our best interesto 99% of the time. single payer us the only way, but first we have to acknowledge that a bum on the street has just as much right to healthcare as warren buffet. or a kardashian. you get my point. and the best thing that obamacare did was eliminate policies that don't deliver don't cover anything so employers could no longer offer bunk policies as legitimate plans. poor working people were getting swindled left and right by insurance plans they were paying hard earned $ into, with no expectation of care from the companies collecting their premiums.

I agree with this. And public health care works wonders in Norway, despite Sean Hannity's insistence that we wait in long rationing lines and drop like flies in waiting rooms. I don't think I've ever waited longer than 20 minutes in a waiting room in Norway. Generally cost me $25 no questions asked. No insurance company. The system cost roughly half per capita compared to pre-Obamacare here.

But it should be noted that if you get sick in Norway and there is a long line, or the medical procedure is unavailable, the state often pays for patients to undergo procedure in....... The U.S.

It should also be noted that while Big Pharma undoubtedly brings in an incredibly large amount of questionable money, Big Pharma is also responsible for a very large share of the life saving medicines we take for granted.

fathers actions by reminding the crowd that a formal apology had been rendered, which should be enough to stifle the controversy.

Eric Trump: Ivanka Wouldn't "Allow Herself to be Subjected" to Sexual Harassment

And listen, my father apologized for it. He was right to apologize for it, and Im glad he apologized for it. At the same time, if you look at her track record with women, its horrible. Its absolutely horrible.

He also emphasized the sentiment that his father expressed when explaining the lewd language that was on display, and mentioned his surprise that the tape was even shared with the public.

At the same time, I think its locker room banter," he said. "I think sometimes when guys are together they get carried away, and sometimes thats what happens when alpha personalities are in the same presence. At the same time, Im not saying its right. Its not the person that he is.

The younger Trump was able to summon some positive words about his fathers political nemesis by mentioning how touched he was by her answer to the last question of the debate, when she admitted her admiration for him and his siblings. "It was incredibly nice, and we were all very honored."

How does it work exactly in Norway are those private companies running the health care?

Here in France health care costs are taken care of by the state (70% of the costs) and the remaining 30% by employer based health care (private corporations pretty much).

If you don't have a job the state takes care of 100%.

I think private insurance companies should not be involved personally.

Co-pays for exemple don't exist thanks to that (besides in dental care IIRC)

To be honest co pays, premiums and so on make me think of car insurances rather than health insurances.

Last time I checked we were ranked #1 worldwide.

It costs us money through taxes obviously, but it's a choice that we made as a people a while ago and it pays now. I have been working for 4 years and been paying 200 a month's (it's included in the gross income) during that time, besides a few meds and doctor visits here and there I didn't had much going on health wise.

Yet I payed around 9600 to the system.

I don't care because if something happens to me, I know it won't ruin me.

Eric, a narcissist like his father.

Alpha personality?????? Ha ha. Any alpha would knock the block off someone coming in bragging about sexually assaulting someone.

There's a difference between being an "alpha" and being a sexual predator!!!!

Go back to shooting endangered animals, Eric!!!!!!

Yes, my husband keeps asking me this: why do Americans put up with this system?? Why? Anyone have any insights as to why it is tolerated/accepted?

I agree that Obamacare was better than nothing, but.....my mom told me that now her employers are offering overly expensive options (over $500/month and the plan is extremely mediocre) and basically people are forced to accept it because if they don't.....they are taxed. What on earth?? How is that fair?? Sigh. I get that there was a good intention with Obamacare but now it seems like people are just forced to pay into the system whether the like it or not.

I'm not surprised that you'd say such a thing, based on some of your other posts. But let me help you out with a few links. And bear in mind, these are just the ones that have actually posted. There are thousands more like them who don't publicize their welfare state of mind.

And:

(Woman on welfare living in $1.2 Million home)

Yeah. Keep thinking that everyone on welfare are working because it's the right thing to do.

thank you for proving my point. seriously, still posting the same youtube videos from last election, and the one before. get some new material bro.

And don't have 15 kids.

agreed.

i would agree with the last statement, but i'm not sure if you're leaning if you can't feed em don't breed em or just, as a whole, no one should have 15 kids - if they can afford it or not. the earth's population can't afford it.
