K1 Interview with one child

I received an email from the US Embassy Moscow saying that they have received the visa petition and is ready to process the case. (That is great news!)

I understand that I need to pay the $265 fee for the interview. However, it says "for each applicant"

There is one child (15 years old). Do I need to pay the fee for the child as well?

Do I schedule just one interview? Or is it two interviews, one for her, one for the child?

Greg

Also, I am filling in the information on line. Is it my information that is being requested? Or it is her information?

I started filling in my information, and then realized maybe it is her information that is important.

The fee is for the visa, not the interview. Two visas = 2x the fee. Only one interview though.

If by "information online" you mean DS160, it is her information. She is the one who is supposed to fill it out, not you.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

You will schedule the interview for yourself and the child will accompany you. But I believe the embassy will determine the fee to be paid since K-2 visa fee is not listed.

It's the same fee as K-1

Via processing fees do not vary by consulate. The fee for a K visa is $265. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/fees-visa-services.html
