Ummm, what do you suppose an off duty police officer carrying a gun IS, exactly? A concealed carry permit holder...

We don't have the information indicating if he was off duty but still in uniform or if he was carrying concealed.

The information we do have is that the nut job used a knife and nobody but he himself was killed. Good news, yes?

Ya might wanna re-Google that one.

But yes, good that the thug is dead. And good that a responsible citizen with a gun stopped him as quickly as he did.

Is there a #BLM issue?

So he is the mythical example of the perfect concealed carry permit holder, of extremely rare qualifications and caliber who happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. Vigilantes dream in the flesh. Got it!

Not mythical, he is real.

Rare qualification? He can shoot straight. Lots of people I know can do that.

Your lack of understanding does not make this a rarity, nor a myth (quite obvious to any sane person, since it actually happened). And technically, he was in the RIGHT place at the RIGHT time, thankfully. I bet if you or one of your loved ones were the one(s) being stabbed, you'd feel much differently about him. How easy it must be, sitting in your parents basement and judging someone who was man enough to do the right thing...

Friends from St Cloud said the town has become a cesspool due to so-called refugees influx for many years.

There is a lot of hatred towards Lutheran Social Services for placing them all here rather than scattering across the country. Many think that they have put absolutely zero thought about the environment or the cultures they are disturbing.

Frankly, they are right. Non-metro MN/ND is no place to be putting refugees, especially in high numbers. Put a family in each county or maybe a few more, but the creation of micro refugee ghettos is all LSS's doing and it is bad policy. There is no chance for integration when they insist on having separation because of their numbers.

Interesting article.

Same thing sort of happens in the UK, except there has been attempts at dispersal. But not successful.

It is a rarity. I am hardly judging the man that brought the stabbings to a halt though. Good on him and his gun. A real man likely doesn't have much need for a gun though, even in a knife fight, but I'm guessing that you completely fail to see how rare this incident and the outcome were based on your wild conjecture and weak attempt at belittling me.

Welcome to VJ CEHST! You will be very welcome here where the rare good guy with a gun story overshadows any concern regarding the daily gun carnage on the streets of America and anything less than opining guns are the greatest is met with wild accusations of stripping everyone of their sacred 2nd Amendment right.

You are clueless, this is not a game.

taking a knife to a knife fight isn't exactly a good tactic, almost as dumb as taking a knife to a gun fight.

A real man doesn't undertake cowardly acts such as terrorizing innocent people or trying to murder them. Sometimes, it takes a real man with a weapon to put down such cowardly thugs who seek to destroy human life. And I am just fine with that.

The real rarity is the low number of conceal carry holders in anyone place. They are only like 2% of the population and they are restricted from many areas where shootings are most likely to occur.
