Hi All,

We sent our AOS package for my wife last week. They cashed the check and we received NOA1 email/text.

I am expecting an RFE though because I did not include form i-693. I thought since we did a medical/vaccines as part of K-1 visa this year we wouldn't need to do them again. I read somewhere that if applying within a year, physical test is not required, I guess I got things confused.

Can USCIS pull up my wife's medical report from her K-1 package that we handed over to border control upon entry?

Thanks

That dorm is not needed when you are a K-1 filing within the year. However you should have included the paper she got from her doctor after the medical.

The doctor only gave her the sealed envelope which she gave to the embassy during K-1 Interview.

I guess we should've requested a copy to keep.. darn

Hi, I am a little bit worried here. Our package was received by them last September 1st but we still haven't gotten an email or notifications. We put $1070 on the check, that is the correct amount right? I know that sometimes it takes a lot more time before they can see it, I am being paranoid I guess because I was the one who prepared our packets. Hope it goes well :)

If it's from K-1 and only her then yes it is the correct amount :)

Don't worry some people it just takes a bit longer but hopefully you should hear something soon. (That is if your attached the G-1145)

Thanks Georgia, and I am the Beneficiary. :) It just sucks to stay at home, I only get out of the house on his days off and when I volunteer on the cat shelter near us.

Yes, I have attached the electronic notification forms and triple checked everything. Paranoia is always my enemy though. Thanks for the reply :)

Hey everyone! I just got home from dropping my AOS package!! :dancing:

This is my second AOS application sent. I had an approved F2A visa, which allowed me to apply for AOS back in February 2016 since I am inside the USA and came with a B2 Visitor Visa, but I got married on March and had to withdraw that petition.

Now since my wife became a citizen back in August I can apply again. I currently have DACA.

Now the waiting game begins!!! Hope we all have a smooth process!!!!

Alright! Atlanta has a very good USCIS field office! Most experiences have been very good! I was there like 3 times within the same week when my wife and her family were becoming citizens and they are really nice.

That's nice to hear! ... I'm expecting them to be slow since it's such a busy city with all the immigrants.

It really depends. For my sister it took about 6 months a couple of years back. My dad was able to do it in just 5 months last year, so it should be the same for all of us. I know the processing times on USCIS.gov says it takes about a year, but that's for people who do not get an interview. My mother had to wait a whole year for her GC, since her interview was waived.

The best thing to hope for is for an interview with an immigration officer. This is the fastest way of getting a green card approved.

I read the same thing in other posts... if you get an interview it's much faster than getting the interview waived. I really wonder why that is... you'd think it'd be much easier and faster if it gets waived.

I'm still waiting for the marriage certificate... it's "recorded" but the certificate isn't ready yet :/

My codes work so I can check the progress on the site now! For the I-485 it says they've received my finger print fee and have sent out a letter telling me the next step, so hoping to get my biometrics appointment this month, fingers crossed!
