So mom went to interview and was ask if she would work once she comes here and what kind of job she plans to apply.i primarily petition her to spend time with her not mainly so she could work here. They also asked how much i get paid per hour. She was also asked if she plans to petition her kids (my half siblings).. she said she was interviewed almost 1 hour. They did not give her a visa but a 221g although they took her passport.

They also require proof of relationship. I am planning to print our chat logs in facebook but would you know until when i should print? We were chatting ever since i got in the usa which is almost 10 yrs ago. I could imagine how many hundreds of pages is that. I would also print our money remittances which again hundreds of pages.

She said most of the questions were about her and only few questions about me.

I am afraid they wouldn't give her visa.

It's very helpful to make a more complete profile, that way when you have questions those answering have some background info.

What type of visa was applied for? What consulate did she interview in?

I think when they want relationship proof I would think that would be proof she's your mother, not chat logs.

If they doubt your relationship, they can request a DNA test, so I would not worry about it.

The CO is free to ask whatever questions he/she feels is necessary to ask. I suggested in your other thread that maybe you can send medical and school records and also your baptismal certificate indicating that she is your mother. I don't think the chat logs will do any good for your case.

why did they ask if she would work? IS she coming on immigrant visa or tourist to visit?

if she is not working, you have to prove you can afford to support her / the 125% proverty guidelines

Refer to my other post. I like the idea of doing a DNA test which is accurate these days for other petition. You have one shot at answering the 221g so load up on both barrels of your shotgun. Logs will help but you need STRONG evidence.

The 221g states they need nbi with AKA, birth certificate to be sent by PSA directly to us embassy and proof of relationship. Mom brought our birth certificates and photos. They said its not enough.

What is 125% of poverty guideline? I thought as long as i earned more than the 20k required im good? I earned about 70k a year, no kids, single. They asked if she is going to work when she comes here and if she going to petition her children.

Perhaps they said that your birth certificates and photos were not enough for approval because she was still missing her NBI clearance. I don't think your capabilities to support her are being questioned, since you clearly make more than the poverty guideline. So what you need to do is get her NBI clearance, both your mom's birth certificate and yours, and all the other suggestions that Greenbaum has stated as proof of relationship... the best proof of relationship is the DNA test so if you can do that, go for it.

I'm on board that they are looking for the NBI with all aka's. Makes sure she get's the NBI with AKA's. How old are the birth certificates and are they original? I think @xmaricrisx is right. The NBI is what is holding this up but if you really want to do a slam dunk then get DNA.

Can you upload (attach the 221g) for us to see. PLEASE black out any personal information. After reviewing it I think a number of us can opine to what is exactly needed.

Your income is more than enough. That's not the issue.
