Husband came yesterday!!! The waiting from when he took off from India to him walking out of that terminal here in DFW seemed like forever! I'm on cloud 9! He said POE at DFW was very easy took about 5 minutes...if that. Waiting for his luggage is what took longer. He landed at 2:57pm and was out by 4:01pm.

Such a dream come true, congratulations!! I can only imagine how happy you both must be :)

Case complete on 1st July, waiting for interview date.

Does anyone know, if you have to contact the embassy or NVC to expedite the interview?

I was reading up on my interview preparation on the link the NVC sent on the p4 letter and it says I have to go online and register the interview, I tried doing it but I didn't have the ds260 number because my agent did all the paperwork for us. Does anyone know how long before the interview I have to register?

Are you sure your embassy uses the website to register? If so just go and reprint the confirmation. because you need it for your interview anyway.

You should be registered before your interview. Most register after they have been assigned

Can you get to the luggage area to help, or need to wait outside? I am pretty sure it's the second, but interested, because my wife will fly with the two kids.

No, you won't be able to go to the international baggage claim. Once she goes through immigration, she'll go to baggage claim and get her luggage, then she'll go through the customs officer and then she can come out to you. Good luck!

sorry to ask again guys but is it better to call or email Andrews memorial in Kingston Jamaica to get a medical appointment.beacuse i sent them an email from Friday and i haven't gotten a response yet.

Cell- 618-1810

Dunno if the Cell number works but there landline is the direct number for the US medical section. That's what I got them on to make my appointment.

thank you its so hard to get them though i'm constantly on hold i thought nvc was hardest to get on the phone but not anymore

Hmmm really? I dunno. I think I called in the morning like at about 10 or so. It was busy the first time then I called back I got someone almost immediately. keep trying.

My spouse interview is scheduled August 25th in Dakar but I just got put on assignment( military) to go to Korea in December 2016. I was just wondering can I contact the embassy if they can move the interview date to end of July or beginning of August?

I recall sending a PM to a member with a situation such as yours since I was curious as to how he flew past all of us who were at his stage in visa processing. He was "hopefully" going to be deployed in 6 mths and had his superior send a letter to the embassy to have the case expedited and the guy was able to cut months off his waiting time!! So....it doesn't hurt to try ;)

I am looking at CC to interview spreadsheet and I see that MTL schedule seems to be congested as it didn't schedule any interviews since mid June. Aneone has an explanation?

Happy July 4th!

It was very special to get back my passport with the visa printed in it today :goofy:

I just paid the immigrant visa fee following the instructions at the beginning of this thread. However, I can't see the info on the ELIS account I created here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

I used the same email email there and when paying the fee indeed. However, when I logged again on the ELIS account, I didn't see my case number. It is added automatically according to the instructions...
