  1. Husband’s oath ceremony was yesterday morning. We are officially done with the immigration process!!! We are gathering the documents to apply for his US passport now. I have to say, I’ve been with visa journey since I first started the process to file for his visa to come here after our wedding nearly 6 years ago. This site has been so helpful that I never needed an attorney to get through this process. Thank you visa journey and everyone on here. I wish everyone in here a quick closure to your cases and a “happily ever after” for each of you.
  2. Congratulations! How long did it take for you to get your passport?
  3. Is the documents section loading for anyone? My husband logged in and saw the oath notification was mailed out on Wednesday but the documents section isn’t loading to see the copy.
  4. My husband passed his interview today!!! He was asked 6 questions and then asked to read a sentence, write the answer, etc...same as everyone here has already mentioned. I did send with him the latest copy of our auto loan statement, mortgage statement and tax. The officer did ask if he had any loan statements so husband showed the papers. The office just glanced over them and said ok. Officer also asked where my husband currently works so it could be updated in the file, along with the address. My husband was making chit chat with the officer so it broke any tension between them. The Officer said the Oath should be in about a month. He also mentioned husband would receive a letter in the mail that he will need to bring with him to the oath along with the paper that the officer gave him that says he was approved. so happy this process is finally almost over. The oath part is the cherry on top! good luck to everyone still waiting. Stay positive you’re time is coming! (I should mention I had made my own flash cards with the civic questions so he used that to study. I would quiz him when we were in the car)
  5. For those that already have went through the interview...did you take any additional paperwork. I mean more than what’s listed on the interview letter? If so, what did you take and did the USCIS officer ask for it?
  6. Don’t get discouraged by the estimated date of completion on the site. My husband’s completion date went from December 2021 to June 2021 back to December 2021. His interview is scheduled for May 12th.a couple of friends that went through the interview process recently said their officer told them within 120 (4 months) they will get their oath ceremony scheduled. ... which is why I was wondering if anyone else from Dallas was told the same. stay positive.
  7. Hi! Did you go through it in Dallas? Your state shows Maryland.
  8. Is anyone else interviewing from Dallas? I'm curious if anyone has already complete the interview and told how long the wait is for the Oath ceremony. I've heard from a couple of different people that it's within 120 days?
  9. Does anyone know how long it's taking to get a US Passport these days?
  10. Husband got an email just now about USCIS having take action on his case. His interview has been scheduled for May! Timeline is in my signature. Local office: Dallas, TX. Estimated Completion date still says December 2021.
