You should check your case status in CEAC, if they have indeed sent your case back to USCIS then you are in for a bit of a wait. If your case has been returned, USCIS will send your petitioner a letter at some point saying basically that they intend to refuse your case, but you will have 30 days to send in a response. Your wife should be prepared for when the letter does arrive with all relationship evidence you have. After USCIS gets your evidence they will typically send your case back to the embassy for another interview. All in all from what I have seen this process typically adds on a year to processing. In the meantime try as best you can to stay relaxed and maintain a good relationship with your wife and have her visit when she is able.

Sounds like AP came up with something.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It sounds like the embassy sent your case back to USCIS with a recommendation to revoke. What sort of questions did they concentrate on in your interview? Any red flags in your relationship, such as previous immigration cases, recent divorce, big age difference?

If it says they returned your case to USCIS for review then yes, it was a refusal to issue the visa and you have to wait

until your wife receives the NOID/NOIR letter with a request to send evidence for a rebuttal.

The reason(s) for the refusal will be addressed in that letter.

She will have 30 days to answer it.

If USCIS is satisfied with her reply then they will send it again to the embassy and you will be notified by the embassy.

You should both be proactive with inquiring about your status every 2 months or so.

Returned cases currently take about 9-12 months until USCIS has reaffirmed them.

If she does not respond to the NOID/NOIR letter it will result in a denial.

(NOID=Notice of Intent to Deny, NOIR=Notice of Intent to Revoke).

Your wife can contact her senator/congressman to perhaps gain some clarity of why the CO approved and then refused.

They are not obligated to disclose that (USCIS will) but she can try.

Have you been married before ?

Has anyone else ever filed for you before ?

Has everything been disclosed by you on the forms or perhaps prior applications that have been cross checked ?

Any idea what it could be that is lurking in your past, if anything ?

Sounds like something came up during the security / background checks they didn't like.

Hello

Thanks for all your valuable informations and prompt responses to all questions asked.

I've just been selected for 2017 dv lottery Visa processing and I need few clarifications before I proceed to complete the form.

Please, how can I resolve the situation where I couldn't graduate from the university since 2012 because I had an issue with my long essay but have been teaching in a private secondary school for past three years?

Will this affect my chance of getting approved? I've senior secondary school certificate. Can I use my transcript even though I've the long essay pending but completed without certificates from the university?

Please what must I do?

Thank you.

Congrats!

You have more education than secondary school so you should be fine on the educational requirements.

However, do try and resolve the other issue with your spousal visa, as that may become an issue with the diversity visa visa.

Some people said to me because my case moved from cr1 to ir1 within the whole process. Is this right??

That's wrong! Many people change from CR-1 to IR-1 during the process, myself included. Doesn't affect your case at all, except for the fact that if approved, you get a permanent 10 year card rather than having to remove conditions after two years.

Have you had any unusual travels or traveled to Iran, Irak, Syria or Sudan? That would raise a red flag too. At this point, you can't do anything until you know the reason for the refusal. :(
