Not in this tread probably (as most people adjusting from K-1 don't need an interview), but I am (adjusting from F-1). Hoping to have it around end of January based on the NY Office processing times

Yeah, I'm adjusting from ESTA so need an interview too. Probably the same based on those times.... extremely frustrating! I wonder if things slow down around this time of the year too.

Had our interview on the 1st December at 7:55 am....waited for about half an hour before we were called in by the USCIS officer. She was very very nice the reason I say that I haven't had that great of an experience previously on phone with most of them. Well to our luck we even had a trainee in there with us to start, I thought our chances seemed pretty bleeked she asked us the regular questions of how we met? where we met? if our families have met? The regular paper of questions of whether you are a member of terrorist group and blah blah!!!! Then she asked us our address so as to make sure the card gets to the right address which I thought was a pretty great of her to tell us. Then explained us the process after two years of the marriage and the documentation involved then. At the end asked us if we had any questions to which I asked if we were approved? And she said so far we look good.

All in all I think the interview is not that tough as long as you stick to the real story...she found ours pretty cute :) <3

Finally nearing the end. Had interview 12/01/16 in Seattle. Original interview cancelled due to records for Seattle not being correctly sent. Contacted two different senators office and the USCIS Ombudsman for assistance. It paid off. We had ticket number K22 and after sitting 5 minutes was called in after K4 was called. Others sitting in the area were not amused but most of all the officer that greeted us at the door. Definite feeling of intimidation. Didn't phase us and just got to business.

Officer was very direct and cold with my spouse asking direct questions off the I 485 application. Very basic stuff. Is this your signature, where did you meet, how long were you together on your first meeting.

We came very very prepared and it was a good thing. They had incorrect dates on the wedding and lost the majority of our 693. Had I not brought copies of EVERYTHING we would not have been approved that day. By the end of the meeting we did get a verbal approval but the officer had to dig for things in the file and ultimately never could find the entire 693 document. At one point he said that he could not complete the interview due to the missing documention that THEY lost.

He said that we were very prepared and that we appreciated it. We brought in copies of around 50 photos with several of the wedding. He focused mostly on those. He also was most interested in bank statments. I brought complete statements for the last six months that showed both our names on savings and checking accounts. Also copies of medical, life, dental and car insurance that showed both our names. Copies of the lease and also car financing were there. He kept everything! Our stack of documentation was probably 5 inches thick when we arrived and after he kept what he wanted it was about .5 inches think. Make sure to make copies if you want the originals back.

The last half of the interview was lighter and not so intense. In the end he said we were approved. On 12/05/16 our status updated to case approved and at 5PM this afternoon it changed to Card has been mailed.

Thanks everyone for the incredible help on everything. It has been very valuable and at times much needed comfort. It is greatly appreciated.
