I enjoy the mayor of philly's statement on this. Simply put he says this guy's action has nothing to do with Islam and is not in any way related to anything from Islam at all. Never mind the fact the guy did it in the name of Islam and thousands upon thousands of other Muslims would do the same thing if given the chance and use the Koran as the reason for it. I guess the mayor of philly understands Islam more than they do.

So yeah, not a real Muslim.

Saying radical Islamism has nothing to do with Islam is a little like saying alcoholism has nothing to do with alcohol. Using that analogy, the politically correct thing to say every time someone dies from alcoholism is then "this has absolutely nothing to do with alcohol."

Of course this is a horrible incident. How it is worse due to what the gunman said and claimed as his reasoning behind the shooting doesn't make it worse. Implying that the million or so Muslims in the US would do the same if given a chance does though.

I'm glad to see having a few hours to make the implication and pat each other on the back for all the clever wordplay was so enjoyable. Guess that's something good to come from this incident.

The officer was reprimanded for his actions. Doesn't really need a spin. With rights come responsibility. All the laws in existence can't make up for one being lacking.
