Interestingly my applications have been delivered today. So I'm already one day ahead of my schedule :) Funny, never heard fedex delivers 2nd day pkg as next day.

Ours delivered yesterday as well. Look like we might have the same dates :) Hoping we get texts/emails soon already, lol patience is not my forte :rofl:

And than the phone started making a lot of noise. 3x NOA-1, got them all within 5 minutes of each other. Returning to the patience mode once again.

Hi, when did you mail out your documents? Our lawyer filed on Jan. 19, and complete silence since then.

  • 09/23/2019: Applied and paid online. Received a receipt number immediately.
  • 09/24/2019: USCIS online estimate is April 2020 
  • 09/28/2019: NOA1 received in my mailbox
  • 09/28/2019: Biometrics appointment scheduled [waiting for notice]
  • 10/04/2019: Biometrics appointment notice received in mailbox 
  • 10/17/2019: Biometrics appointment in Revere, MA completed
  • 10/17/2019: USCIS status changed to "we reviewed your biometrics"
  • 10/17/2019: USCIS online estimate is March 2020

So I went and got my biometrics taken this morning for my GC and Work Authorization.. I didn't realise that the Travel Doc required separate biometrics ?

That's what I thought too! Very strange altogether.. I'm going to just call the USCIS today and see what they say!

Hi there!

Of course I can share my experience :)

So my biometric appointment was at North Broadway, Chicago but I assume all offices have the same routine/process (i'm guessing).

My appointment was at 10AM. I got there at 9.50. When I walked in there was a security guard sitting at a table. He greeted me, asked was my phone turned off, and asked me for my biometric letter and a form of ID (I used my passport as my ID).

He gave me a form to fill out. It asked for very basic info, name, DOB, case number, phone number etc. It took under 5 minutes to complete. I gave it back to him. He stamped and signed my biometrics letter, and gave it back to me with my ID, and a card with a number on it.

My card was number 46, and as I sat down after receiving my documents number 41 was called. I waited 15mins, and I was called to the top of the room. They took one photo of me, and loads of finger prints.

They asked me to fill out a customer service survey which asked a total of 4 questions about the service provided.

Did that, took all of 30 seconds, and I was on my way!

I spent a total of 30 minutes there. It was a very easy process!
