Received biometrics letter on yesterday and completed biometrics today. It's been 10 days since NOAs. Our appointment was for 2/12 but decided to go right after work at 3. The place was empty. In and out in 10 mins. Now, the wait...

My wife and I tried to walk in today but the clerk said no and asked us if we want to reschedule. We walked out right away. :(

I guess we can celebrate Lunar New Year right at the office. Embrace the firecrackers!

Mine arrived last Monday, my biometrics' on next Monday, too. Lol

Looks like ours are on the same day!

After how long can I start checking case online. (i have tried after we got the text on Friday and today) but it's not working yet.

I have the same issue! Got all 3 emails/texts last Friday night and none of them work when I check my case status. Granted, it does say this in the email: "We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status." So we are probably just being impatient. ;)

K1 Visa timeline: Application sent to Visa in hand: 10 months and 4 days (Texas Service Center)

02/26/2015: I-129F Application mailed to Texas lockbox

03/05/2015: NOA1 email notification

08/27/2015: NOA2! (176 days)

09/02/2015: Sent to NVC

09/14/2015: Called NVC and obtained MTL case number

09/18/2015: In Transit to MTL consulate

09/21/2015: Consulate received our file (24 days post-NOA2)

09/24/2015: Sent Packet 3 (unprompted, but CEAC status had updated a second time)

09/29/2015: Packet 4 received, interview scheduled. Still haven't received Packet 3, I advise not to wait for it!

Sorry to hear that. I called USCIS and ask them a general question and told them I couldn't take off and they said it should be fine to walk in with the appointment letter. However, I have read that some offices are very strict when it comes to sticking to appointments. I only tried it because someone else on here is from my area and it worked for them a couple of weeks ago.

When we went to our local office the place was empty. And the receptionist made a passing comment about us being early and I straight told him I couldn't take off from work and he said it's fine. All while he was stamping and signing my husband appointment letter. I would try when they aren't that busy or just wait. I'm not patient enough....something has to be within my control!!lol

I was able to see all cases in the "myUSCIS" immediately. As in seconds after getting the text. Or are you revering to a different site?

No, I mean myUSCIS. When I enter my numbers (I tried all 3) it says the receipt number does not exist. I suppose I will wait until I get the paper NOA to see if the numbers match. :/

Hi

I just managed to go to DMV and get my driving license (driving permit - need to take driving test still), that is valid for 3 years until 2019.

However they required following documents:

- passport

- marriage certificate

- SSN card

- I-94 (I didn't have it at first, so had to come back with it)

- Notice of Action paper copy for AOS

Lady made the comment that it was the first time it went through for that type of visa (I think it was due to I-797C).

I actually went to the DMV as well to get my learner's permit in NYC. It is only valid for two months because of the K-! visa but they gave me no hassle.

I took my passport, marriage certificate, SSN Card, and I-94.

Hi

I just managed to go to DMV and get my driving license (driving permit - need to take driving test still), that is valid for 3 years until 2019.

However they required following documents:

- passport

- marriage certificate

- SSN card

- I-94 (I didn't have it at first, so had to come back with it)

- Notice of Action paper copy for AOS

Lady made the comment that it was the first time it went through for that type of visa (I think it was due to I-797C).

Also just joining...applied for AOS early last month and just received my bio-metrics appointment letter for tomorrow. Applied for AOS with an approved I-130 .
