TFO,

That is way beyond the normal time frames and out of processing time frames as a whole for the K-1 visa. If you have not already I would look up and try and get your local member of congress to help reach out to USCIS for you.

Our 1st application was almost 3 years ago. We sent RFE and never heard anything since then. So we decided to file another one last July and got approval yesterday.

Hi everyone here! our Rfe letter came today and as I guessed, my fiance missed some boxes that he didn't check. Specially those were they're asking if he ever been convicted to a crime and stuff.

So he had a conviction for underage drinking in 1997. And a DUI 2003 and 2013. All were cleared. The question is does he need to mark that, and if he does, what type ofor document he does need to prove that he was cleared? He was never in jail he had tickets to pay or something like that. Thanks for your advices;)

I called and talked to a tier 2 supervisor and he said about 5 weeks ago that everything looked fine but they were backlogged and understaffed. He said just wait. I am ready to call again. Wasn't denied.

Yea but that was August 24 and now it is October 6. Whats the holdup now? Can he apply for a Diversity Visa at the same time in case this is denied or held up another 6 months?

Hi fellow RFEers :)

Apparently I filled out the g-325 instead of the g-325A with my application WOOPS...

RFE is asking me to submit the correct form along with passport photos (taken within 30 days of the date of the petition.) Does that mean I can use the original ones sent with my application back in July? Or does this mean I need to get new photos taken?

Also how picky are they with the white background? We had ours done but it's a light blue-ish background--- will this be a problem?

Thanks!

Layla

You most likely need to get yourself some new photos. They're clearly not happy with the ones you sent in first or they wouldn't have asked for new ones. I recommend you to take them at a photographer's or something like that, don't do it yourself. Be very, very sure they are of the right size too (as well as a white background).
