So, I was looking at another thread where a couple was denied a visa because they [apparently] did not have enough evidence of their relationship's status. So, it got me thinking about our evidence because I believe my wife's home country MIGHT be on the high fraud list. In the 2.5 years we have met, courted and married, we have over 53,000 Facebook messages. Probably another 30,000 Whatsapp messages, thousands of Tango Calls and messages and so on. There are a few remittances here and there (both ways) and then we have over 600 wedding photos and a corresponding DVD. The wedding also took place in a garden, right in the shadow of the U.S Embassy there and finally, there were two prominent people at the wedding who know people in the embassy. My only thing is, if they ask for proof of conversations, many of the conversations would make a porn star blush. Should we let them have those too?

Oh, the wedding was one of 3 visits to Guyana. I have photos and video of us around Guyana, going on trips together and me videotaping her walk and us hugging on bus trips and so on.

Personally, i would love to see someone embarass them. With the questions they asked us and tried to embarrass us, i would just love to see some of these embassy get the same treatment.

But no, try to be coureteous and respect them as they have the power over your life and the visa

and my husband took a slew of chats / they never asked to see / they wanted photos, documents showing proof and mostly from what i have seen here, they have decided on the case before the interview according to the documents received from NVC. maybe I am wrong

sounds like you have all you need .make sure you include boarding passes, hotel reservations for all your trips ,guest list,

you don't have to submit every text or conversation that yall had but make sure you include those where you talked about wedding plans and so on .

good luck

Could you give us an example of the conversation you are concerned about?

Oh no, no disrespect intended at all or any desire to embarrass anyone, but if they press hard enough in trying to verify our relationship as true husband and wife, married because of a super passionate near 3 year romance, well, we can show them some extreme proof of this. LOL... Let's just say, I can see the CO turning red and even asking for tips and pointers. LOL

No hotel reservations, as she has her own place. Have boarding passes and passport stamps. Lots of conversations about wedding plans and the DVD can show them all the animation they need to see to determine legitimacy because we were all over each other and our faces hurt from all the smiling. I have over 1,500 photos of my wife I have taken either through screenshots or while I was with her in person (3 times for a total of 31 days over a 13 month period)

On another note, the reception was held literally 200 feet from the U.S embassy and the key witness is a world renowned economist and author who works (he's an island born American, like me, on contract out of Washington D.C) a mere few steps from the embassy also and knows a few people in there.

Wisdom around VJ is that evidence of time spent together is strongest. Show that you've visited those 3 times for over a total of 31 days. Others have suggested using boarding passes and passport stamps. You also have photos of the two of you traveling around Guyana during those trips, and whatever other evidence.

I don't know the particular recommendations around here about chat/call evidence, but I think it's something like one page per month to help show that you communicate consistently over the course of your relationship. The topics you choose are up to you. (I imagine they've seen it all, and I doubt they'll read all of it at the window.)

Electronic media won't be accepted or reviewed, but printed photos could be. Nothing wrong with wedding photos that include guests, known or otherwise. Also nothing wrong with photos with her family and friends, or with yours. These help to show that others know about your relationship.

The cash flow going both ways seems worth including. It shows mutual financial support.

Have you or has your wife listed the other as beneficiary on anything, like retirement, life insurance, or wills? Changed next of kin or emergency contact anywhere?

I'm not sure how tough your embassy is. Some want more evidence of bona fide marriage, and some less. You might be able to get some idea of how much evidence to bring by reading embassy reviews.

I want to thank all of you for your well wishes and suggestions. To be honest, I am not really worried and I don't say that with arrogance at all. My wife is a very well written, well spoken (former news reporter, elocution champion and also part of her college debate team and is a PR spokesperson and public relations and marketing major). Did I also mention she is drop dead gorgeous? She does not fumble words. I'm not so bad myself and we both are VERY confident in our love, act like it and live it. DId not realize it at the time when she did it a few times, but she still believes in sending hand written letters of 5 pages and more. Now I realize how key those might be.

Bahahahah. I second that. Fifty shades, VJ style.

Hehehehehehehehee!!!

Funny story. Good luck guys!

Thank you! :content:

Hahaha you got me laughing here with the high fraud list..... you have enough to evidence but one thing I haven't seen you mention is western Union or Money Mart / Money Graham recpt...that's one evidence the CO always look forward for in Guyana.

I guess you had your wedding at botanical garden....I remember those days passing by and seeing weddings done there......hope you a picture on the kissing bridge with a real kiss lol
