Quick question--

My US citizen husband is petitioning for each of his parents separately (they're divorced). He technically meets the poverty level requirements if we add on one parent to our family, but not both, so we included me (his wife) as a joint sponsor. I had a job change while our case was at NVC (but still surpass the poverty guidelines). We now have case closed for his mom and are waiting for an interview. Should we notify anyone that my job has changed? Should we have his mom bring any paperwork to her interview? If so, what?

Also, if you want to add us to the spreadsheet:

CC August 1

Received CC yesterday. Not many people from Croatia so also don't know what to expect currently.

We are allowed to do medical without the interview letter, should we go ahead and get it out of the way?

Also is it that the NVC sends the package to the consulate and then we get an appointment made or do they make an appointment and then send the package?

My question too. From reading the description on the NVC Process page (http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process) the NVC schedules the appointment with the consulate and then sends over the case.

Well if u are allowed to do interview go ahead and do. I think that's best

Nvc scheduled interview as per the slot available given by consulate. Post that ships the case to consulate

My question too. From reading the description on the NVC Process page (http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process) the NVC schedules the appointment with the consulate and then sends over the case.

That's what I thought too, but then I saw elsewhere some people mention the consulate got their package first and then the consulate made the interview.

I wonder if that was specific to their location, or their cases, or if they just misspoke.

I am the petitioner, he still lives overseas
