I just got off the phone from my once per week, Friday call to NVC. I talked to the nicest, most chatty, informative rep I've ever connected with! He said September interviews were in fact NOT finished being scheduled until today. I told him I'd heard they finished up last week. He said he's actually one of the people who does scheduling, and he scheduled a couple of interviews for September just yesterday, so he's in a position to say without a doubt, they're only just wrapping it up. He also explained that a few people still will get a September interview after all. because embassies do get interview cancellations, which frees that slot up for someone else.

As for October scheduling, he said in the past few days there's been very little, as they aren't going to get rolling on October scheduling until next Tuesday, after the Labor Day Weekend. As for this week, he said the majority of embassies haven't even given NVC their open slots yet.

Since he was so talkative, I told him various information I've read from users in VJ. He laughed and said he's been where I'm at now, and the advise he can give me is to take everything I read in VJ with a grain of salt.

The last thing he told me was that he appreciates positive, considerate callers, so he's happy to give those callers more of his time. He said a lot of callers are impatient, curt, sometimes tearful, and often rude. He said callers like that get as little information from a rep as the rep can give, because the callers demeanor makes the reps want to just get off the phone.

Amen so true. I remember throughout my NVC experience 2012 - 2013 I called everyday for 8 months (long story why I was there that long). And I swear I talked from 30 minutes to an hour with various folk (Mr. Gus was my all time fav) and that's how I got all my notes and inside looked. At that time interviews were 2nd week of month like cloak work and interview letters came like a week later.

They use to always marvel how I came up with all these questions and knowledge and I would tell them Visa journey and they were amazed we knew so much. It is sad that every other Rep who answers phones has no clue (they told me that) at the time I was there they were changing from Government employees to contractors. That was July 2012. It has been horrid every since.

Did he by chance shade light on why EVERY embassy seemed to be stalled for September interviews or was it just a big coincidence?

Transitioning from employees to contractors.. outsourcing.. almost always is never a good idea. Contracts usually go to the lowest bidder, quality suffers.. and the results are visible (at NVC).

dwheels76- Can you please remove my interview date from the sheet. I just received a called from NVC they had cancelled my interview date. The only reason I got out of them was "capacity issue".

Anyone from Sudan their consultant changed from US embassy in Cairo to Khartoum Sudan. My cc on 04/22/2015 and the change was on 05/11/2015. is this normal waiting for others. Called NVC several times, but no help at all, and no estimate waiting.
