I feel your pain.. I was offered a job in May and told them I estimated to be in the US by August, that was my "conservative" estimate. They were ok with it, they needed someone by September the latest. Of course, when mid July came around and I didn't even had a case complete, I called them and explained the situation. They had to hire someone else.. Most likely won't hire me in the future too.

My wife adopted a kitty from a rescue in May, our case was at the NVC for 1 month already then, we thought we wouldn't take much longer.. It's almost a full grown cat by now.

Sucks...

Do you think its enough for an expedite?! Thing is my husband has a pretty good salary and they have papers on that.. So don't know if they wouldn't consider this a valid thing for expedite with me having a job waiting on me.. But we would of course not make it with our apartment, car and other living expenses if we both didn't have a job.

Dwheels, do you have experience with this? What do you think?

Guys i don't think that we will ever receive an interview date. i gave up already

Seems like the NVC hasn't paid the salary to the stuffs last months & this is why we are experiencing this

legally? The same day that you get in the country or you have to wait some paper?

My interview was yesterday morning and was relatively speedy; approved and saw on ceac site that the visa has already been printed!

Congratulations. So you thought you could just sneak in here and just not saying something. LOL

Does any one call the nvc that when did they will start scheduling of interviews for september.Its only one week left in this month

I can probably with all certainly bet September interviews are done. The only ones getting those will be expedites and reschedules. The window for the CO's to prepare is too short. They are filling up October schedule now.

As to you PD date. Case Compete date is what gets people in the queue. If lets say there are 10 people for Pakistan in the October interview queue with varies CC dates. The PD date does come in to play with people in system longest getting usually earlier dates and such. But you got to get the CC to gt in the queue.

September schedule was odd I believe because August and September is tourist/Student Visa time. For most embassies. I am sure things will free up and October many will get good news.

All you can do is ask. But I wouldn't address the letter from a beneficiary vantage point. NVC has been granting expedites lately for Petitioners who have sited financial hardship. Because its really about the petitioner.

So the petitioner stating why the beneficiary needs to get here and get working soon as possible give over your evidence and really hit home why this will be a financial hardship on you(The petitioner)

1. Siting supporting two homes.
2. Can't fly over again money tight
3. Need husband/wife here to get job soon as possible. These kind of opportunities don't happen every day.
4. If you had baby you need parent here and working

All you need is your Social Security Number usually takes 2 ri 3 weeks may take 4. Mostly everyone go to SS office after a few days (or give it a week) than go to SS office and apply.

I know I know you all checked the box on the DS-260 saying you wanted a SS card mailed to you. See,s that falls through the cracks.

You have your temp green card stamp so you are ready to go when you get SS Card.

Seriously what is the deal with NVC these days. I mean average interviews in Abu Dhabi were 50 days and I am at 78.

My heart breaks reading all your post, waiting on the interview and missing out on important things in life. I know how it feels. Doesn't matter if you wait for uscis approval, or it takes nvc 2 months to approve a ds261, it is all horrible. I'm sending positive energy into this week for all you guys to get your interview dates.

Oh, by the way. What's your guys opinion on booking a flight to the USA already, when knowing your interview date? I don't wanna risk it even though I feel confident the interview will go fine. Booking earlier is cheaper, so.
