Are they issuing my visa now?!

Yeah, I assume so. If it were refused, they would have changed the status to refused and not gone those extra steps. I just called the embassy and the guy wouldn't transfer me. I have to email. I don't want to email and wait a few more days for a response. I just want someone to check if my visa is being sent out. How hard is that to check? Embassies make me so mad!

My experience with emailing the embassy (yes, I know it's two different countries) is that they generally replied within hours or 1 day. Ankara could be different though. Are they using ustraveldocs.com?

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Not to lessen the sting but it's a little comical to read some of these when you know people are waiting and it's 13 days or 10 days or three weeks because in the end ... and in the whole scope of things ... it really doesn't matter. At the time it's a big deal but when you look back at it a year or two later you just chuckle and say "..it's only time -- and time is all you have..."

I was approved on June 11th and ever since it said "ready" with 3updates until this morning and now it's saying "administrative blabla"

What does that actually mean?

That they will issue my visa now?

Reason I ask is cause it says in the text "this can take up to several weeks",

I was told I would receive the visa within 14 days (yes, I know it's been delayed cause of the problems) I'm only asking if this is normal?

The r issuing it. Mine changed to AP the 24th in the morning. it changed for issued today (26th) noon.

Nope. I must take a dissenting opinion here. If it goes the full 13 "work days" that they are quoting, it will cause undue and significant hardship on us. We have a 2 month old son involved (born here, then we did the CRBA for him) and I have a cutoff date for when I must return to work. The 13 "work days" will exceed that point in time and I will be forced to leave my fiance and son behind. We have no help, she'll be alone. I may have to hire a nanny, but two problems there: trustworthiness and extra expense. The expense I can handle ok, it's the first issue that concerns me with that scenario. And it hacks me off that I'd need to incur that expense anyway in the abstract. And when she does travel, she'll need to do it alone; that means luggage, baby stroller, baby, carry-on luggage, security screening, all of it *alone*. Then there's the 12 hour flight alone with a 2 month (by then closer to 3) old. It would be a considerable *physical* burden for her on top of everything else. And I won't even touch the emotional hardship it would cause us, as that's a bit subjective in nature, though tangibly identifiable.

So no, speak for yourself, respectfully, but a delay like this CAN INDEED cause significant hardship for any couple; and in our case it absolutely will.

Hopefully they'll issue it next week, we'll see. I must leave the week after that. And I think they'll have one day off for the 4th at some point (next Friday perhaps?) which will further increase the delay and cause us even more hardship.

9/8/14 - I129F petition sent to the USCIS lockbox via USPS
9/11/14 - Petition received @ USCIS lockbox
9/11/14 - NOA1 Email and text message received
9/15/14 - NOA1 Official notice date
9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received
12/9/14 - "Updated" likely because of website repairs, like many of us received
4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/13/15 - Left the NVC (5 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

6/4/15 - Status changed to AP (which meant that we could schedule the interview)

6/16/15 - Medical

6/17/15 - K1 APPROVED!!!!

Yes, they will be closed on Friday July 3.

Hi all, I am very confused. After submitting additional Joint Sponsor my IR1 case Bangladesh:

56 days had shown "Admin Process". Then 15 days and still now showing "Ready".

Can you please guys tell me, are they accept the joint sponsor? How long more I need to wait for final decision?

Unfortunately that's why the embassy says to never make any travel plans until you have your visa in hand.

If you're waiting for your visa to be issued, why would you need a return date?
