Had to wait for about 15 min in a room with other people. Then, I was called and taken to another room, I waited for about 5 min and a man called me. He had checked my passport and the envelop given with the visa. Put a stamp in my passport, explained to how to get the I-94. Smooth and quick. |

Embassy Review : |
My interview was 10.30 am. I arrived 1 hour earlier.
To begin with, don't do any queue. Go straight to the windows outside, they will tell you what to do, and in every step, dont forget to say you are there for a K1 visa, and they will let you enter without make any queue.
It was after a holiday, so the embassy was full and I had to wait about 2 hours until I was interviewed.
The Interview was really smooth. CO asked me to do it in engligh to which i agreed.
He asked me how I met my fiance, If he had come to visit me, how long, how many times we have seen each other, If i had met his family, If he had met mine, why I came to Argentina to live (because Im peruvian living in Argentina with dual citicenship), he asked me about my fiance divorce and his child custody (which my fiance have it) and If his daugther know me, where he works and what he does, where we are going to live, and thats all. He told me i was going to get my passport in a few days with a envelop I have to show when i arive there. I wanted to hear "you are approved", so I asked him "tell me, did I get the visa or not?" he smiled and said "yes, congratulations"... I told him if I could I would kiss him, and he laughted. It lasted about 10 minutes which went really fast.
Everyone at the embassy were really nice and friendly, always with a smile on their faces. The CO was really nice too, the interview was really casual, as if I was talking with a friend, telling him my life and my "love story".

Timeline Comments: None yet, be the first!
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
