Are they issuing my visa now?!

I was approved on June 11th and ever since it said "ready" with 3updates until this morning and now it's saying "administrative blabla"

What does that actually mean?

That they will issue my visa now?

Reason I ask is cause it says in the text "this can take up to several weeks",

I was told I would receive the visa within 14 days (yes, I know it's been delayed cause of the problems) I'm only asking if this is normal?

I think that means they are printing it out. I had the same status. I went from AP to ready (with a new CC) and now back to AP.

It means that they are preparing the envelope etc so yes, they will issue the visa soon. According travel.state.gov the processing times are currently 13 days. Before the mess it was always 3 days which was accurate. So most likely 13 days is accurate unless they speed up now that they're up and running.

I was told 10-14 days during the 3 day processing time so I think that's the standard thing they tell everyone.

Some consulates are fast and some are super slow.

All you can do is roll with the storm.

We have all been there.

You will make it.

Maria & Seve 13 days seriously?

My fiance had his interview in April and got a 221g denial for a missing police certificate. We finally recieved in in early june and sent it. They began to process it on June 9 and 10 and CEAC said AP. On Wednesday our CEAC said ready and we got a new CC date and the visa became non immigrant. Now as of yesterday we are back on AP. I am almost positive it means our visa was approved (I called NVC and the guy said we got the visa) but I want to start getting plane tickets. I don't want to wait 13 days.

The 13 days is the current processing time for the Swedish embassy. You can check the current processing times of your embassy here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/general/wait-times.html/

CEAC needs better status updates. Instead of ready for interview or AP at the final dates they need statuses that say Visa Accepted or Waiting to Print. I hate that the status goes back to AP saying Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Dang CEAC IF MY APPLİCATİON is approved? So it may not be after you updated my case and made all these changes in 2 days?

I think it will be faster than the 13days, but I'm assuming it also could take that long. Let's hope they work over the weekend ;)

Great Ankara says 14 days. Will we still have to wait 14 days when the status just went from immigrant to niv and got a new cc date and that we went from ready to AP? I have heard people in my case go from AP to Issued in one day.

Yes, it is complicated for people who receive the 221g because for them AP is very confusing. Did you contact the embassy to ask them if you were approved? Since your application is with the embassy now and not NVC? But if they can really see that you have your visa then it should mean that you will have your visa soon.

Hopefully though the processing time on that website has been accurate before but it is hard to tell know that they can actually print them and hopefully not a lot of people are waiting on Visa's from Stockholm. And sorry, that's wishful thinking ;) And soon it will be 4th of July so they'll be closed next Friday.

But going through all these status updates, AP to ready, new CC date conversion to niv visa, back to AP, that means an approval right? If it were refused they wouldn't bother doing all of these steps right?

I don't think they would bother to change it to a niv visa if you weren't approved :)

Yeah, I assume so. If it were refused, they would have changed the status to refused and not gone those extra steps. I just called the embassy and the guy wouldn't transfer me. I have to email. I don't want to email and wait a few more days for a response. I just want someone to check if my visa is being sent out. How hard is that to check? Embassies make me so mad!
