Event Description
Review Date : July 16, 2015
Embassy Review : I walked in half hour early at 1045 and they told me to come and line up at 11 (my interview time was 11:15) and waited in line to show my passport and go through security. They ask you to take out electronics and chords/chargers etc and turn them off, and they don't let you take anything up except your paperwork. I couldn't even take my pen. I'm not sure if you can take watches, but I didn't have one so once I didn't have my phone, there was no way to tell the time. No clocks anywhere.

I then go pointed towards a desk where the ladies checked my paperwork and then they zoomed me up to level 59 (fastest elevator ever). Then a man checked my name off and I went through the 'heavy door' - and it is heavy haha so pull!

Then told to line up to the left and when it was my turn I went up to the counter and the man asked for my paperwork.
He told me to sit down and he would call my name. I waited about 10 mins (approx) and he called me back up and said everything looked good and to sit back down again for the officer to call my name.

I waited and waited and waited. People came and went, and no one called my name. Awhile later, literally every customer was gone. The window officers were packing up their stalls and one man called me over and asked if I was being taken care of.
I shrugged and told him I was waiting for my name, so I sat back down. A little while later, another man called me over and asked the same thing. I told him the same thing and then he frowned and directed me to window 2.
My packet was waiting right on the desk and they must have forgotten since I didn't have a number (I wasn't meant to cos after awhile I checked).

He asked me questions like : how did you meet, how did he propose and where, and wasn't that fast? Etc (whatever) and then checked my paperwork.

I took an oath to say all my documents were true etc. took some fingerprints.

He then said, okay your visa is approved, we will get that to you within 1 to 2 weeks. Goodbye.

I got my original documents back and my medical X-ray.

Two hours later I was out. Bizarre situation, but I wasn't about to leave without having my interview after all this time!
Rating : Poor

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
