Nope, they typically take at least 2 weeks from it leaving TSC. I've rarely seen it take less time on other timelines. And you won't get a letter until after it's there, which can take a week, as well. Again, NVC won't be much help until they receive your case, and that's most likely going to be at least 2 weeks.

You said the 22nd, which has been only a week. Ours took 3 days to leave TSC after noa2 then a day over 2 weeks to arrive (it was on a Monday). I checked a lot of timelines before to see how long, and it's typically 2 weeks, but it's not uncommon to see 3-4 though it should not take more than 4!

Edit: sorry for the confusion - it's 2 weeks from it being sent. So you count 2 weeks from the 22nd.

Hi Camillasofie,

our case took a while do go to NVC too. I called back three times to get acknowledgement of receipt. It was sent 11 days post NOA-2, so same as for you and then another 9 days for NVC to acknowledge receipt (June 25th).

I am currently holding to see if I can get my case number... If I do get it today, it would have been 25 days or almost 4 weeks from NOA-2. We shall see.

I have seen timelines where it took 3 weeks plus from NOA-2 to NVC received and 4 weeks plus to get a case number. You are still in the normal period for now.

No idea why some cases take longer...

It's really difficult to predict as there are no set patterns.

My case took 2 weeks after NOA2 just to leave TSC. NVC received it 4 days later and that included a weekend. 5 days after that I got the case number. Then another week to leave NVC for the embassy. A friend of mine is now on day 7 after TSC sent her petition to NVC and it took TSC 8 days post-NOA2 to send it to NVC.

There are no set rules in any of this.

Okay, got my case number. So, in my particular case, 25 days from NOA-2 to NVC assigning a number. Let's see when the embassy receives it.

Seems like the particular steps may vary, but overall, things seem to even out. I got my case number 22 days post-NOA2 so not too far off you. Have you figured out how the DHL tracking works? NVC sends to each embassy on a specific day of the week. They have a schedule. If you can determine when they send to Germany, you can use that info to call NVC back to confirm that it was sent to the embassy and track the delivery.

I've been living with my mom and step dad since I got home in December, and I'm getting really tired of it.. I just want to get things going now!

April- LMAO! Yes! They finally stopped sending.. Knock on wood! but it's so dumb that it took so long for you guys to get to NVC! There really isn't much rhyme or reason to them, huh?! It took us 2 weeks from when they sent it to NVC, so I have no idea why it takes so long. I checked a ton of other timelines back then and noticed at least the only pattern I saw was that it took 2 weeks to get to NVC post noa2, which could mean it wasn't sent to NVC until a week or so later, but who knows?!

Camillasofie, I absolutely agree we didn't expect this at all, and it's ruined so many of our plans! Back in October it was a 5 month wait for noa2 then only maybe a month after for NVC and interview, so we were thinking it wouldn't take longer than April! Then now we are, of course, one of the last ones to get fixed in the backlog after their dumb technical issues, so we're still stuck waiting. The whole thing sucks, and it's so unpredictable. First it's the TSC backlog then another backlog right at the finish line. No winning with this

My roommate has a co worker (they work at an immigration law firm) that her husband is in intel for the government. He told his wife (who told my roommate) that the "technical issues" the DOS was having was actually a hacking incident. So its not so much that they are trying to fix the system but trying to determine what all information was compromised. I can't verify if he is or not intel but that is what is going around at my roommate's law office.

Guys, I'm pretty much done. Santys brother was denied a visa for our wedding even though he showed a ton of evidence, and his mom will probably be denied, too. I feel like everything is falling apart for this, and I just don't even want to do it anymore. This whole thing is so unfair, and I'm so sick of this. My fiancé can't even have his own damn family at his wedding. #######!!!!! Literally in tears over all of this.

I just realized I only got the case number (FRN#) and there is also an IIN number that might be useful on CEAC. Grr. I specifically asked if I needed anything else but the case number and they said no.

Oh well, I should receive a letter from the embassy soon anyway...

I never got a letter from NVC either. Plus, no packet 3.... I emailed my packet 3 documents when the status said ready... and still no packet 4. I'm getting a little nervous as to why neither of us are not getting anything now

That is beyond ridiculous. It's no wonder there are so many illegals here. You try to do something legally and truthfully and you get screwed. Sorry to hear that Allie
