I am confused. I went online and first assigned myself (petitioner) as agent and paid my $120 fee. I didnt do anything else. Did I miss something??

On the cover letter I received my mail, they indicated that the packages have to mail together and in the same order as indicated on the form.

There are certain countries that do Electronic Processing meaning scanning and submitting documents online. Since the beneficiary in your case is from India this will not apply to you hence your packages have to be mailed.

Nyclucky once your DS-261 is submitted and the AOS fees PAID, you may go ahead and Gather AOS & IV Package and send them both together to NVC instead of waiting for the IV fee to be invoiced. The IV fee($325) will be invoiced after the DS-261 is reviewed and accepted.

My steps at NVC: Step 1.Complete & Submit DS-261 online

" 2.Pay AOS fee

" 3.Send AOS & IV packages

" 4.Pay IV fee

" 5.Complete & Submit DS-260 online

On my welcome letter and cover sheet for the supporting documents, the NVC requested :

Adoption documentation

Birth certificates

Court and prison records

Marriage certificate

Marriage termination documents

Military records

Petitioner documents

Valid, unexpired passport

Police certificate

Translation

I just saw today that on the NVC website, they also ask for photographs. But we already send it without the photography. Did anyone also had the same list of documents? Did you have to send your photography ( I would think to bring it at the interview).

KiRilie, yes, you are required to submit two photographs with the IV package. Since this is absent from your package, you may receive a checklist for it. You also have to take two additional photographs to your interview.
