Our petition was just sent last Thursday on the 19th so we will start calling them this week. NVC received your case on the 9th ... the C&IIN are usually already assigned on the second week at NVC.. when was the last time you called NVC? ...

We called on November 13th, 2 weeks ago. So I will try this Friday

(Delay due to Ds261 showing incomplete had to resubmit) Scan date: December 21st, 2015 Case complete: January 29th, 2016 Medical examination: March 4th, 2016 Interview: March 17th, 2016 at US Embassy in Paris - Approved ! March 18th, 2016 - CEAC shows visa ISSUED March 24th, 2016 - Visa received this morning Paid ELIS $165 fee + book flight on MArch 24th, 2016 POE Chicago on April 13th, 2016  Received green card on June 8th, 2016[/spoiler][/spoiler]

Just called NVC, and I waited 8 min Woot :joy: !

So they still havent assigned a case number, the rep said 42 days from the date NVC receive the application.

05-27-2015 Express mailed my I-130 package to Chicago Lock-box.

05-27-2015 Priority date as per NOA1

05-29-2015 Received NOA1 via email.

10-29-2015 Received NOA2 via email.

11-04-2015 Received I-797 via snail mail. (NOA2)

STAGE 2: NVC

11-13-2015 NVC received our case.

12-04-2015 NVC assigned case and invoice ID number

12-04-2015 Completed Choice of Agent DS-261

12-07-2015 Received 2 emails with Welcome Letters for my wife and I, they were sent by ASKnvc@state.gov

12-07-2015 AOS bill became available and I paid it.

12-08-2015 DS-261 reviewed on phone.

12-09-2015 Mailed AOS and IV packages.

12-10-2015 AOS fees appeared Paid.

12-10-2015 AOS and IV packages received.(30 days Email Received on 12-12-2015 - Scan Date 12-10-2015)

12-10-2015 IV bill available and Paid.

12-14-2015 IV fees appeared Paid.

12-15-2015 DS-260 available and completed and submitted.

By the way, the NVC received our case on November 12th and a case number was generated on December 3rd. D261 completed and now awaiting approval.

So:

You should normally be able to pay for the AOS fee of $120. My husband paid it yesterday

For the powerusers on this thread I have a question. I am looking at peoples timelines and I often see that they submitted the AOS packet separately from the Visa application form. However official channels suggest you should be submitting them together, as does the NVC process timeline. Is this just oversight on the part of the timelines I am looking at or is there some advantage to submitting them separately?

On the cover letter I received my mail, they indicated that the packages have to mail together and in the same order as indicated on the form.
