Ugh, I still can't believe this AP waiting time!! This is the worst torture possible! :ranting: The only thing keeping me going is knowing that there are others like me in a similar and if not worse situation. I know that is sucks to be in this situation...but at least we are not alone.:cry:

Just popping in to say Congrats to all that have been approved!!! Your patience has finally been rewarded!

Looking forward to a long weekend here, then flying to Montreal on Tuesday for my interview on Wednesday. Will use the weekend to double, triple and quadruple check our documents.

Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly.

Hay guys,

I'm so down today, I have discovered I will more than likely be getting a check list for a reason that is my fault. It's frustrating how I know that it's going to happen and there's noting I can do to speed the process up. It's so annoying when you try to get everything right and you slip up.

I hope everyone is having a good May.

Hopefully some of you have been getting good news.

I had been excited as my processing estimate had been moving from beginning of August to July 1 to July 10. Now the estimate is going in the other way and today had gone to July 5 to July 15. Hopefully it starts going back closer this way again soon.

Maharosa-CONGRATULATIONS! Have been working extra and off VisaJourney but am really excited for you and everyone at the end.

I am so sorry to hear everyone feeling so down and bleak. I am at the end with my husband arriving in a few weeks. I am happy and excited but still have the feeling sometimes how horrible this all was to do to to someone. My husband is very familiar to me yet after a year and a half of separation, and at our age, we both are noticing that we have aged in subtle ways over this time. It makes me so happy and feel so fortunate to have him but on the other hand there is a real sadness and sort of left over residue at the real lack of compassion for so many people; how much time of what we have left that we have missed together for no fault of our own. These thoughts never help and I can get over them but wanted to say that they are really normal and even deserved. Now we are coming together but I have a deep sadness that our story is not the only one and it continues to other good people deserving so much better.......there are so many having to go through this with very little compassion to the problem. Not much caring either.

JayMain626-Dont feel badly. We had a lawyer to do our forms with us; double check and everything but we still had a problem with an error. We caught it before sending it off but even with that we still were delayed some weeks because the wrong form was requested. You will get past this one and everything will get going again without problems. Doesnt help to beat yourself up over a really complicated process that hinges pretty much our entire future happiness on.

Each person here is really in my thoughts and personal prayers. There is not much that can help you get past these days; I can say what to try and to be strong but you already know it. It's just a matter of time. But it does come and it will end.

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is well. After we got our CC, I just couldn't come on VJ anymore. I felt pain knowing we would have to wait forever to have an interview scheduled. I called last Friday and they told me it's scheduled for June 4th! We still didn't receive the official email, but when we do, we have to reschedule.

I feel so strange knowing this whole process is nearly over. We've been waiting so long for it to end so we can be together. I don't want to get over excited because something bad happens when I do, but I'd like to say thanks everyone on here. I always know I can ask you all questions and see your support for one another to keep me going. Have a great day!

Seems like a quiet month.

I'm finding this month a lot harder of a wait. I guess because we are still no where really and a lot more in front of us.

I hope everyone is doing well and getting good news.

Ok, I need to vent!!!!

Had my interview yesterday in Montreal (have posted a consulate review)

I am now in Administrative Processing and it sucks!!!

Reason for the AP you ask? WELLLLlllll let me tell you...lol

In my interview letter under "#6 - Marriage Termination" document status was coded "F"

Under Document Status Code Definitions, "F" means - The NVC did not request this form or document.

SO......I didn't take a copy of my spouse's divorce documents! (Had originally put them in the folder with everything else, but took them out when I was trying to make room for other 'needed' documents, that by the way they never asked for)

BUT.... the interviewer insisted that it was a required document and would not approve our application until she got an original or certified copy of the papers. She gave me back my passport and a 221g letter! I asked her how much this would delay our application and was told that all visas are taking longer than normal as they have been instructed to book more interviews per day.

I couriered the documents by Loomis to them today. Praying for a speedy approval

I wish there was an avenue of complaint with immigration. I discovered that what the NVC tells you and what the consulate wants are not always in sync, and each website contradicts the other.

I'm sorry to hear about the AP, but at least it is something you were easily able to get. Hope you get a quick reply.

I think the lesson for everyone waiting to go for an interview is just bring everything they could possibly ask for.

So they are booking more appointments, but then are then are taking longer to do the Visas? They are probably booking more to get through the backlog of people waiting for them. It is like a jumping game, USCIS is backed up, they fix the issue, it then slams NVC and backs them up, now the consulate is backed up because of NVC pushing more probably...the whole system is crazy! lol

Hopefully you get a speedy reply soon! Goodluck
