Egypt is about a 2 to 3 month wait after case complete. Average is 86 days.

i had my interview on 19th of may./ and was approved .but my status still says ON AP last updated 20th may . I am really worried. is this normal?

Yes its normal. Depending on what they are doing it could be a few days. It will change to Issued with a day or two. Then you can get Visa.

question does entry into US once the visa has been approved have to be via Air? My husband and I were planning to go via Peace Bridge and do a bit of a road trip.

By land is fine..... I plan on going through Detroit (probably the tunnel).... depending on how much you're bringing with you at the time (moving all your stuff too?) it is a nice gesture to call them ahead of time - ask about when a good time of day to go would be and such.... you don't want to be crossing through rush hour! LOL A family member that works for Canadian Customs told me they appreciate the heads up so they have staff on hand and can get you through faster....

Speaking of delays did you have any trouble registering your immigrant interview appointment on usvisainfo website? for courier service? I am not too sure if this applies to us but as far as how I understand specific instructions for Montreal Embassy it needs to be registered prior to interview date. I tried doing it, however, it said "not ready for an appointment". I am going to try again tomorrow maybe system is still loading/updating Based on CEAC website our case is still "at NVC" so maybe that's the reason either that or I am completely clueless of what's needed to be done

From reading others, I think you can register your appointment once the CEAC status is updated....

June interviews were given at the end of April, so I guess your interview date is coming at the end of the month for July.

I completed my medical yesterday. Wasn't bad at all and the process was a bit long but worth it.

After long process finally visa is issued. But I have this question?are the docs(original birth certificate and marriage certificate inside the sealed envelope because the only thing they sent to us are passport and sealed envelope with two letters on it. And btw the visa is valid only 4 months.

Hey everone does anyone know if at the finger print appt before the visa interview is there another fee for that or is that included in the fees that we already paid to nvc ...and Also the visa fee after you get approved at your appt .. I know it says you have pay for this before you travel to the U.S. online with Uscis but how True is this and I called them and they said it takes 30days to process is that a fact ?? Not approved yet but Just curious
