It is better than what it was for much of March, but about equal to done weeks we had in Jan/Feb, I'd say. They have Bern procesding reasonably steady the past two weeks, which is good. Of course, the backlog is still massive and I don't see current processing being fast enough to speed up average. More like hold them where they are.

Spoke to NVC today. They said fiancé visas are being expedited. Hope that is true.

They have not received my case yet

Must say, the customer service people at NVC are more helpful/knowledgeable as compared to the robotic scripted responses one receives from USCIS.

This is the first I've heard of fiance visas being expedited. I wonder what the agent meant.

Yes, NVC staff are wonderful! It's been a breath of fresh air speaking to them, despite having to wait. You feel like a human - who matters! I actually completed a compliment form for them the other night and sent it off. What a pleasure after the frustrating calls while still in the service center.

My fiancé Wendy was talking to the guy from NVC while I was connected over Skype. He said that fiancé visas are being expedited because of the huge delays from TSC. On average they are being shipped to to the consulate within 2-3 days (She smiled when he said that ). But there are exceptions obviously.

There was another thread I was following earlier. Some VJ members wrote to the White House or the President, involved the press and so on. Since then USCIS picked up their pace and also started transferring cases to CSC (at least new cases).

Interesting. I wonder if what she was referring to was the new filers being routed to CSC. NVC has generally not held onto petitions for more than a few days unless the destined consulate won't receive them until they have availability for a new block of interview appointments. I wonder what she meant.

I called again this morning, and got a rude customer service representative. Today I was told "Your case is undergoing administrative processing. Unfortunately there is no timeline I can give you. You will be notified when the case is sent to the consulate."

I don't think there's anything wrong with your case I believe NVC holds some file for certain Embassy until he Embassy has availability for interview.

I was told the same thing twice that due to delay at TSC that NVC is processing I-129F quicker. My congress office said it to me and the customer service rep at NVC. I do believe it looking at other cases from our Embassy it's usually two to three weeks before it sent to Embassy mines was sent two days after case number had been assigned.

Ok I'm on board. Approval came in tonight. Just curious: what's the wait time everyone is seeing at the NVC?

We were at NVC for four days before they sent it to the embassy. Embassy received it three days later.

Hey Ethline, I see your case is in the embassy, it only took 19 days since you NOA2, that's great. I hope mine can be sent from NVC to the embassy soon so I can get the case #. The good thing is that once I get the number I can pay the visa fee and fill the ds260.

Thank you I didn't even realize that. But just so you know you have to fill out the ds-160 not the 260.
