I do not think that the people are complaining. They just wanna know what is going on and stop worrying if something went wrong.

Every case is different.

I am sorry for your trouble but you do not know other´s background that could be difficult as well. Everyone has an package to carry in their special own way.

We are here to support each other not judge each other!

Exactly. No one knows if a person freaking out has a spouse who has to undergo invasive health testing next month, alone, that will determine if their lives together will be long and healthy or short and painful. No one knows if a person freaking out is expecting a baby or has an ailing family member other than their spouse in America. No one knows if someone has seen their neighbourhood go downhill the past two years and had six people be murdered in their building but they cannot afford to move because of this awful process. Long waits are horrible and I know it's hard, but we don't know why someone is freaking out, what may be making them frantic, that may be more than just simply missing someone.

Met in 2010 on a forum for a mutual interest. Became friends.
2011: Realized we needed to evaluate our status as friends when we realized we were talking about raising children together.

2011/2012: Decided we were a couple sometime in, but no possibility of being together due to being same sex couple.

June 26, 2013: DOMA overturned. American married couples ALL have the same federal rights at last! We can be a family!

June-September, 2013: Discussion about being together begins.

November 13, 2013: Meet in person to see if this could work. It's perfect. We plan to elope to Boston, MA.

March 13, 2014 Married!

May 9, 2014: Petition mailed to USCIS

May 12, 2014: NOA1.
October 27, 2014: NOA2. (5 months, 2 weeks, 1 day after NOA1)
October 31, 2014: USCIS ships file to NVC (five days after NOA2) Happy Halloween for us!

November 18, 2014: NVC receives our case (22 days after NOA2)

December 17, 2014: NVC generates case number (50 days after NOA2)

December 19, 2014: Receive AOS bill, DS-261. Submit DS-261 (52 days after NOA2)

December 20, 2014: Pay AOS Fee

January 7, 2015: Receive, pay IV Fee

January 10, 2015: Complete DS-260

January 11, 2015: Send AOS package and Civil Documents
March 23, 2015: Case Complete at NVC. (70 days from when they received docs to CC)

May 6, 2015: Interview at Montréal APPROVED!

May 11, 2015: Visa in hand! One year less one day from NOA1.

Thanks, dwheels, for mentioning the long wait for Egypt. Honestly, it makes me a little crazy to see people that have only been waiting a couple of weeks since CC, complaining about not having an interview date yet. My hubby and I have been waiting almost 7 1/2 weeks since our CC, and still nothing. My husband just deployed today. The Embassy in Cairo did not care that the Egyptian Army is sending him into danger. So for those that keep freaking out about not having received an interview date yet, take a chill pill and say Alhamdulillah you are not in my situation. Insha'Allah, you will all get an interview date soon enough.

and you probably knew from day one it'd be a long wait? For many of us that are "whining and complaining" we are not use to that wait. According to guides and NVC itself we should have a CC letter WITH the interview date on it or within 7-10 so to us its worrysome and we are going to stress wondering why.

Exactly. Dwheels is a bit of a douche. I simply stated that I hoped that packages shipping meant that interviews were being scheduled, and asked how fast the statuses get updated. It took 7 days to get my case complete email, so I thought it might be possible that the wheels were moving, and interviews being scheduled, even though no one is receiving the notifications.

WOW douche. Thanks. I see no need for you to call me name. Sorry if my words seemed harsh when I was being matter of fact.

Good grief this thread has suddenly become quite depressing when it use to be a forum for information gathering , ranting, congratulations and joy. Thanks for calling me a woman, a douche. WOW I am stunned.

It might be time to just shut this thread and the spreadsheet all together. Again I apologize to anyone who thought anything I said was harsh or made u feel any kind of way. Do have a blessed day . I am out of here. :wow:

There are many of us (and even more who are silent I imagine) that are so appreciative of this thread and what you do!!!! Trust me when I say this is just invaluable. I have followed this thread for MONTHS just to "listen" and gather info which has helped me plan and move forward in each step.

Let's use this for exactly as it was intended-- info gathering, ranting, congratulating, and joy. All agree? We need Dwheels!

DWheels, Thank you for clarifying. I was just reading the above post from OIMe and was curious about the dhl thing. I understand you have been doing this for 3 years now but others of us have not and we are very new and uninformed about these processes. Don't fault us for being curious and hopeful. Sometimes you seem to be very harsh in your replies and you make me feel very stupid sometimes for not knowing something or taking a long shot guess at something. I, & I think others that are new, do this to be hopeful and optimistic. We don't know how it works and appreciate your clarifications, just would hope you, as someone who I assume went through this whole nasty process of your own at some point, would be more understanding & compassionate.

This part made me smile. It is amazing how different people read things differently. Personally I always thought DWeels is very sweet and friendly, and it makes me think she is a nice lady (I think she is SHE?). Always patient, careful in wording, prompt in responding :) No offense, JennyLu, but I am ON this site for nearly 2 years (mostly silent reader) and I have sure seen a lot of harsh replies, but not from DWeels :D

Peace everybody and a hug to DWeels (F)

Gotta say, DWheels very rarely, if ever, seems harsh to users to me. Her answers are sometimes a bit short and to the point, but I can't imagine I wouldn't be if I had so many questions to answer! Short and to the point is not the same thing as harsh, people!

Jamy, all I am saying is, if people took the time to thoroughly read the first post of this thread, they would not need to, as you call it, "worry if something went wrong," because they would understand the process. Also, having read the first post, they would have hopefully looked at dwheels spreadsheet to see what the interview scheduling trend is for their individual embassy, and, in doing so, know if they have been waiting for a normal amount of time or not.

As for your comment, Not a Tailor, you are right, I don't know if someone has difficult circumstances, nor did I ever claim to. But like I stated above, if people would actually take the time to read the first post, that would hopefully put their mind at ease. And please don't take what I said the wrong way. I have compassion for those going through this process regardless of their circumstances as it is very difficult, even for those that do not have any additional challenges to deal with, to maintain their sanity throughout this process, which is why I have been working with my representatives to try to reform this immigration process.

I, of all people, know what it is like to be dealing with difficult circumstances. I have been struggling dealing with my grandfather’s ailing health (a stroke, vertigo, an autoimmune disorder and now a sever fall), and the embassy continually denying my expedite requests regardless of the new medical conditions. In addition to all of that, now my husband being deployed.

With that being said, I think I have every right to suggest people relax and say Alhamdulillah, or thanks be to God for those that don’t know what that means, and Insha’Allah, or God willing, they will get an interview date soon enough

.

And for your information, Avandongen, I actually took the time to read the first post of this thread and reviewed dwheels spreadsheet, so I knew that the Cairo embassy had finally caught up, and that for October through the end of December, the average time from CC to P4 was about 20 days. The wait time since 12/29/2014 has now more than doubled. So did I anticipate, or know from day 1 that I would have this long of a wait? Absolutely not! Especially since my grandfather’s health situation warranted expedited approval of our case by USCIS.

My original comment was merely my attempt at being empathetic towards Dwheels, as she has done so much to help us understand this process better. I certainly do not have the level of patience she does, and I admire her for that. Apparently, what I said was misunderstood by several of you. For those that felt I was “judging” them, I’m sorry I offended you, as it was not my intention.

People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones…

Long waits are horrible and I know it's hard, but we don't know why someone is freaking out, what may be making them frantic, that may be more than just simply missing someone.

and you probably knew from day one it'd be a long wait? For many of us that are "whining and complaining" we are not use to that wait. According to guides and NVC itself we should have a CC letter WITH the interview date on it or within 7-10 so to us its worrysome and we are going to stress wondering why.

Amen!

Dwheels please add me to your spreadsheet.

I just happened to go on ceac today for fun and saw the glorious 3 n/a's. I called and actually got the CC on Tuesday April 7!!!! Extra thrilling as i hope I make this next batch of interviews in Montreal.

You do a fab job and are most kind to be dedicating your time to this thread. I think you're amazing and have been following you since we applied for a K1 back in 2010-2011 which was then cancelled in 2012. There are all kinds of people in this world....but its the good ones who rise above. Continue to do your wonderful work and your fruits will be bountiful!

Fingers crossed for pleasant journeys for all of us and praying to those who need prayers the most :D

Good morning vj's

Just want to start off with a prayer for us all who are still waiting to be with their loved ones. Please pray with me.

"Dear God,

Thank you so much for everything, for all your blessings and thank you for giving us the strength, courage and patience to get through this immigration process.

Please hear our prayer Lord, and please see how much we need to be with our loved ones, whether it is our spouses, our children, siblings or parents. Please help all those who had a case complete in March to be scheduled for an interview this week so that we can reunite with our loved ones and live in peace.

Please continue to bless us with strength and patience to get through the remainder of our immigration process. Please walk with us Lord.

Amen

Folks, popping my head in here. Just an FYI: Dwheels must be editing the spreadsheet or something. PLEASE STOP REQUESTING ACCESS. I am getting an email every single time (I'm at 30 emails already because of this). I've messaged her about it already to see why she switched the sharing options (hence why no one can access it). Please be patient folks until this gets sorted out! Thank you!
