come back with more detailed information on circumstances related to the RFE and denial.

With USCIS, no slack is given. You have to have solid evidence and documents.

I got denied because I screwed up G325 vs. G325A. If your only mistake is a paperwork one, just fix it and refile. If you're going through CSC, they are pretty quick and my second attempt was approved fairly quickly. Others applying for Ukrainian fiances have had their petitions expedited given the ongoing Russian invasion. If you get married and try that route, it is, based on present processing times, going to take much longer.

Yeah don't go the CR-1 route if time together is your primary goal. You may end up at the TSC though, then it's a disaster but if you are lucky enough to go through the CSC you could be there quick on the K-1 visa. Flip a coin and decide.

So it was your I-129F petition that was denied? You saw this denial status on the USCIS online case status? You should be receiving a letter in the mail then. That denial notice should let you know why the petition was denied. You can update here when you find out the reason of the denial, and then perhaps people can advise you about how to go about your next filing in order to get an approval.

Yes, thank you! I know I have to wait for a notice from USCIS, but sometimes this wait feels so long. We have been waiting since October, than have to wait this denial letter and go all over again. Endless process. But hope for the best. Hopefully we will end with visa in my passport this time.

Yeah don't go the CR-1 route if time together is your primary goal. You may end up at the TSC though, then it's a disaster but if you are lucky enough to go through the CSC you could be there quick on the K-1 visa. Flip a coin and decide.

3/9/15 - Called NVC and they have checklisted us for an "incorrect" decree absolute from the UK, even though it is the legal official document. Have requested a supervisor review.

4/28/15 - Called and NVC said supervisor had reviewed and now claimed that the decree absolute was not included. After disagreeing with the less than helpful lady on the phone, and her not being able to get the review time right. (She kept changing her story between 42 days and 30 days).

4/30/15 - Sent the same copy of the decree absolute to the NVC from the UK, highlighting the "decree absolute" wording with a letter stating that this is the only document provided by the UK government.

5/6/15 - Scan date for checklist received.

6/5/15 - Case complete!!!

6/12/15 - Called and interview is scheduled for July 1!

6/14/15 - Received email with interview date and instructions.

6/19/15 - Case showing as ready on CEAC.

7/1/15 - Approved at interview!!!

7/6/15 - CEAC changed to Administrative Processing

7/7/15 - CEAC changed to Issued!!!!!

7/10/15 - Passport and packet delivered!

7/29/15 - Husband entered with visa at Dallas/Fort Worth airport

9/29/15 - GC delivered!!!

5/4/17 - ROC packet sent via USPS

5/9/17 - Tracking shows delivered

from looking at your timeline it's the I 129 that was denied, this can definitely be corrected and as others have mentioned, CSC is super fast. And April 1st is around the corner. Let us know once you have the letter.

If you're same sex it's fine - they haven't updated the laws yet lol.

I think she means that the accidentally skipped that question.

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
