woww... Finally GC in hand. my status got updated to card mailed on 07/25 whereas, i had the card in my hand on 07/29. They didn't give me any tracking number for the mail so i had to call them and spoke to tier 2 and they gave me the tracking number for it. with this being said my journey of Adjustment of status is over. Next step ROC in Apr 2017.

I also went to SSA office to remove condition from my Social Security Card on basis of my GC and i will receive new card in 2 weeks they said.

Good morning! We're back from our vacation, and as predicted, Johan had his green card approved while we were out of the country. haha The actual approval happened on July 28th, our 1st wedding anniversary. <3 We got both emails and texts about the welcome notice, then the card being ordered. He jumped online, and the case is updated on their site as well.

Yesterday, we went through border control at LAX, and while they didn't tell him his green card was approved or anything that was in their database, they didn't have a problem with him not having it either. They took both him and my stepson to "Secondary" to process them while I stayed behind to get our bags. All they were asked was (to Johan) "what's your father's name?" That's it.

Our first anniversary date for filing would have been August 2nd. I was 4 days off on my predicted date (which is just a little game we NPIW members played a few months ago) of August 1st, 2015. Today I went and collected our mail and their welcome notices were there, postmarked July 29th. At least they moved fast in ONE area of this process. haha Timeline below in my signature will tell you all the details of our AOS process.

Congrats for everyone who's been approved for their GC. I'm so happy to hear that. My husband and I are not worried anymore and we have started packing and ready to move to AZ later this month.

An interview?? After all this time waiting that doesn't seem right at all!

The only two reasons I think we were told we are going to have an interview is because of 1. my strongly worded letter (no foul language) to the directors of the Houston office or 2. They seen all the times we have called Ombudsman, the Senator, and USCIS tier 1 and 2.

So we are preparing our evidence, which we have a lot of.

Oh that's crazy!!! I'm sorry you've been waiting so long! Don't you have to be married for at least 2 years to get the 10 year greencard?

normally yes. But I have seen that a couple less than 2 years got their 10 yr greencard. so I am hopefull with all the bull uscis has put us through that they give us the 10 yr

Green card approved after all the turn around. USCIS put me on queue for interview since June 9, 2015... After 2 months I went for an info pass yesterday to follow up and spoke with the supervisor

No decision given but after 15 minutes when we left the USCIS office I received an email that a decision had been reached and when I call back at the USCIS number and had to be transferred to an IO... He informed me my green card was a approved.

I told the supervisor that since I already took the initiative and nothing happened I will file an WRit of mandamus in court to compel them to answer the delays.

Well at least it's all over now..., it was a very long and hard fought promcess for me
