Hello VJ Friends

My case status still shows as ready.

AP From 10 March to 18 March

Ready From 18 March to 20 March

Case status updated again to 20 March still on ready............???

I have the same issue. My interview was approved on March 18th but visa status still says 'Ready.' The CO said I would have visa in hand after three business days. Not looking likely...and I've got a plane to catch next Friday. argh.

Hope both of ours changes to Issued soon!

Hello,

Question about taxes. My accountant may file an extension for me because he is behind with a ton of work. If he does file an extension, can I show the extension letter and a bunch of my w-2's and other income for the interview?

Thanks!

Eden

Eden - yes - this is exactly what you should do. And...you should find another accountant. If you have turned in your data to the accountant as of March 20, and he doesn't think he can get it done by April 15th, he's over-loaded!!!

I emailed the embassy asking them if I need to bring an entirely new and signed i864a to the interview, or will just bringing the corrected page that had the error be enough. They replied:

"I think that only this page that has wrong information, needs to be filled out again. If that is not enough or something else is missing, the Consul will tell you during the visa interview."

So the person at the embassy who replied doesn't know for sure, and I will only know at the interview. That's not very clear. I HOPE that I could just bring that one page with corrections, since it doesn't have a signature field and I could just print it off.

Congratulations I have added you to the spreadsheet. Welcome to the group. Jamaica I have no idea whats going on with the embassy. I would gather they are just slammed busy. Remember the few on VJ that bother to report is just a little piece of the real population of applicants out there. I know I still have December folk waiting.

Thank you very much for that info

Its been a week since the last VJ member got an interview scheduled. Is this normal ?

Yes, if you look at the spreadsheet, they tend to schedule the last few days of the month and then the first 2 weeks of the month. So there may not be anymore scheduled until the last few days of March.

06/16/14 - Case received NVC

07/01/14 - Case number assigned

07/21/14 - DS-261 completed

07/25/14 - AOS bill paid

07/30/2014 - AOS package sent

08/18/2014 - add-on AOS package sent (learned that I should have sent 2 separate I-864s even though the cases are joined...oops!)

09/19/2014 - IV bill paid

09/26/2014 - AOS checklist received

11/09/2014 - DS 260 completed online

12/22/2014 - AOS checklist package and IV documents scan date

03/02/2015 - Case Complete!!! (70 days)

04/02/2015 - Interview in Dakar (221g - Needed to verify a court document)

04/21/2015- Visas in hand!!
