Hey guys!

We are also February fillers!

I wish all of you guys good luck!

And i have a question. I've just check My case status and it says:

My case was approved:

On March 13, 2015, we approved your Form I-129F

Is it our NOA2?

Does it mean we got aprroved?

It will be easy if you built your time line. Yes, it seems like your NOA2. our petition was approved on 27th Feb thou. we did call NVC and they have provided us our reference number for further process. Good luck

How did you get your confrimation?

We got confirmed ( I guess) yesterday and we're waiting for hard copy. So this is what my case status says (Case was approved on 13-th of March). I'm a bit confused because we're new here.

Thanks for your help :):) :)

you will get your hard copy of NOA-2 within 7-10 days. and at the same time USCIS will send your file to NVC. NVC will assign you a new case number and within 2-3 weeks they will send your petition to US consulate in foreign country for further process(Med+Interview). Good luck

Hello everyone, got a question. I have received my NOA 2 and have been to the NVC and got a case number, now it says it is in transit to the embassy where my fiancée lives but it says that the NVC has had an interview appointment for her. Does that mean she doesn't have to set it up or is that just what they put on the website so people don't ask?

Can anybody please let us know about the average stay of petition with NVC? As NVC received our petition some days before 12 Mar and still the status shows that our petition is with NVC.

Thanks

My I-129f petition was approved on March 17, 2015. I received the email and now I am waiting for the hard copy. I wonder.. how long until I can call NVC to receive a case number?

I'm so happy we are seeing a lot of progress for us February filers!

Congratulations on the approval ! we are very lucky to be approved so fast ! :dancing:

We were approved on March 13th , so it is almost a week now , but the status has not changed yet , still ( Your case was approved .... )

but for us, we did not get an email , so what did you do so as to get notifications ? did you sign up on the USCIS website ?

Well , i have put this question on here , as i heared , it might take a few weeks to be recieved by NVC , and the NVC stage itself takes weeks ( 4 - 5 ) , it depends !! .

Hopefully we will get it so soon , just as we did with the approval !!

Congratulations and good luck to us all.

How did you find out you were approved?? Where are you looking that the status hasn't changed?

I did not get an email even though I should have. I made an account on USCIS website and have checked it pretty frequently.

Yes, I have heard the NVC process can take a few weeks but I've also heard of people making their appointment before NVC has notified them and that it's worked out fine that way.

Congratulations on the approval ! we are very lucky to be approved so fast ! :dancing:

I apologize for not specifying and not being that considerate. It was wrong of me to generalize my post.

Thanks and same to you!

I signed up on the USCIS website and created an account to receive notifications of my status. Now I know that once it gets transferred to NVC then my case number will change and I have to go to that website to check my NVC status. What's funny is that I literally signed up to receive notifications via email through the USCIS website that same day! I signed up in the morning and around 7pm I received an email telling me that my petition was approved! I couldn't believe it! So you might want to try that as well :D

Thank You !!! i wish you the best of Luck !!

Congrats to everyone at CSC for faster approvals but ppl who were waiting since 5 mo.s or more at TSC can't help being frustrated since it's not our fault that we have to wait for some Uscis ms mgmt. This frustration comes from waiting , being away from loved ones . I don't think anyone on CSC want to be transferred to TSC right now . Would they? You have to be in the TSC pending list shoes to feel that pinch.

Peace! Be human.

Note to all: There has been quite enough assaultive posting behavior by TSC filers against CSC filers recently. Avoid letting the frustration of the immigration process adversely affect harmony on the site, or violations of the Terms of Service will be enforced. The VJ Terms of Service can be found here:

Does this apply to private messages because I'm being harassed by an "old timer" by their own definition and I'd like it to stop.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED  (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding!
